We recently enjoyed three meals at Spice Kitchen, JW Marriott Pune — breakfast, the Saturday night dinner buffet, and the Sunday brunch — and each one was memorable in its own way. Breakfast: The morning buffet is vast and beautifully presented, with an entire section dedicated to freshly baked pastries, waffles, and pancakes. There’s also a clever “Paushtik” station (meaning healthy in Hindi), offering cereals, light grilled items, salads and wholesome options — perfect for a balanced start. The Eggs Benedict here were truly exceptional. Dinner (Saturday night): The buffet was an excellent mix of Indian, Asian and continental dishes. The chefs were kind enough to prepare a few dishes suited to our preferences — my husband loves North Indian flavours, my son prefers healthy food and enjoyed some delicious tofu rolls, and I was served a special stir-fried vegetable dish, which was outstanding. The tiramisu, where live coffee is poured right at the table, made for a wonderful finish — both impressive and indulgent. Sunday Brunch: The Sunday brunch at Spice Kitchen is a vibrant, elaborate affair. It features live grill and carving stations, global cuisines, a lavish dessert spread, and a lively atmosphere that makes it perfect for long, relaxed afternoons with family or friends. Every counter felt thoughtfully curated and beautifully presented. Ambience & Service: The space feels refined yet inviting, ideal for families, groups or even a quiet breakfast. Service is warm and attentive, and every request was handled with genuine care.Special thanks to Executive Chef Mihir Kane, who truly runs the show with grace and professionalism — his team ensures every guest leaves happy and well looked after. If you’re looking for a place that balances variety, flavour, and experience — from hearty breakfasts to elegant brunches and indulgent dinners — Spice Kitchen is an excellent choice.

I had gone to Spice Kitchen for a buffet breakfast & my food review is specific to the food which I had at breakfast only. Spice Kitchen is a big restaurant with a good ambiance. The buffet breakfast was a huge spread. The buffet spread food from various cuisines North Indian, South Indian, Continental, Chinese etc. Along with food there were options of variety of juices & other beverages. Also variety of yogurts, jams & honey! I decided to have South Indian breakfast. First, I had tried Idly which was soft & goes well with coconut chutney & delicious sambhar. Then I go for Medu Wada Sambhar which was crispy & yummy. The taste of Medu Wada dip with sambhar was very good. I had also taken a spoon of Upma for the taste purpose. The Upma was a bit on stickier side & the taste was bland. Finally gone for Onion Masala Dosa which was crispy & yummy! The Dosa had a right proportion of Masala & onions. I had also tasted their bakery items like fruit cakes & muffins, etc. They were yummy! At last I had gone for my all-time favorite, bread toast with butter, additional toppings of salt & pepper. The toast goes quite well with a cup of Masala Tea. Overall satisfied with the food (which I had) & their service. The staff is courteous. I would definitely love to explore their buffet & al carte.

Spice kitchen is a restaurant in jw Marriott which is mainly based on buffet system, the place keeps on doing some innovative stuff for the people and never lacks in quality, the beauty of this restaurant is that they will give you a unique experience with food and the ambiance, the place has a huge spread of buffet which gives you different types of food items to eat and enjoy with your loved ones.

Recently i attended a parsi festival in this restaurant and in this they have kept more than 30+ parsi dishes and each and every dish is made in a traditional parsi way, the subtle flavours, the soft texture will make your palate happy, the place is keeping all the parsi flavours on your palate till 1 sept and you need to really hurry and visit this restaurant for some never before experience with food. The festival will give you all parsi flavours in one roof which is rare and good.

Coming on to the food items which are in the festival

As there are 30+ food items will give you a hint of top 5 dishes of this festival.

1)TATRELO KOLMIMO patio:This was a onion based prawns curry which had mild flavours, the gravy had a slight thick consistency and came good with butter naan.

2)MUTTON DHANSHAK:This was a thick gravy made of masoor dal, tuvar dal and urad dal it had simple flavours with creamy texture, the mutton in the gravy was really well cooked, this dish was too good and flavourful.

3)KHAMAN PATTICE:This was a crispy potato based round shaped dish and was filled with peanuts and raisins, the peanuts gave a crunch and the raisins gave a sweet flavour which made this dish unique and i could not resist myself to take another one.

4)MUTTON PULAO:This was pulao with lots of masalas and flavour of caramalized onions, the rice was most and fluffy, the mutton was well cooked, the pulao had a message had a mild flavour and the accompaniment with it was dal, a parsi dal with subtle flavours came really good on palate and when mixed with pulao it enhanced the taste.

5)KESARI RAVO:This was keshar, milk and rawa based dessert it was topped with dry fruits, the sweetness was balanced and the dessert was smooth this dish was just outstanding.

As the name says it is spice kitchen they have used all the spices in the kitchen and has made all the dishes to give unique experience with food which is important and this what makes a person happy with food and the staff, such things are not easily...

Brunch is defined as a meal which combines breakfast & lunch, usually eaten late in the morning... lunch time begins after 12pm in most places... in the J W here 12:30 is what they call 'Sunday brunch time'... (although they were still setting up & we were requested to wait despite our reservation) The spread was expansive & looked good... since I'm a vegetarian I'll delve into that only... the salad section was all right though there were repeats of beetroot in different places... (have had a better spread here earlier). The Asian was nice especially the broccoli with asparagus (although I did get a couple of undercooked asparagus), the sushi too... maybe sometime they will have an extensive sushi spread on Sunday brunch... the Italian side was fine too although I can't recollect which one had an excess in salt... the pizza (margarita) - I placed an order for two at 1:30pm & after waiting when I went into check at 2:31pm I was told 5 more minutes... although I had asked for a bigger one 8", he only gave a 6", though a pizza which was sent to our table was definitely bigger, 3 slices were accidentally sent n taken back... by the time it finally came it was too late so we just took it along... (the pizzas were well made, enjoyed the veggies spread on the Margaritas) The chaat section was nice although you must tell them to go easy with the salt & sweet imli... The mocktails- virgin mojito & the watermelon one were both refreshing... The dessert section was the one with the least options in Western desserts... (no offence but the Senses at the Marriott suites had a fantastic spread in Sunday brunch) so this time was a bit of a let down... I have to mention this - the door from within the restaurant leading outside to the live counters - was left open 98% of the time (after repeatedly requesting it to be shut), resulting in the warm air coming in besides the flies... I got upto shut it myself as well... the staff as well as the guests walked in & out leaving it open... the excuse given was a table was being taken in/out that I never saw... The music was a nice addition... kudos to both...
