We were here for an early dinner and also because it is one of the only few restaurants in that area serving multi cuisine food. It is located opposite the VB Capitol building on a busy Road where the traffic never really stops. Special mention of the gate staff of the restaurant who were kind enough to pause the traffic for me, allowing me to cross the road to reach the restaurant.
The restaurant inside is big with lots of seating capacity upstairs too, which we didn't go to check. We reached at 6pm when the restaurant was relatively empty. The table mats were unfortunately, quite smelly and I wish this aspect of our dinner would have been better.
However, the food and the service department scored well so this minor aspect was kind of forgotten. We ordered for an Oriental sizzler which took a really long time to come, as first of all, it was a little off the usual dinner time and also we were told that each of the items of the sizzler viz, fries, patty, rice etc. is made separately and that's why it takes time.
After what seemed like eternity (atleast half an hour for sure), the food arrived. The sizzle was less than expected but the taste was excellent. Each item of the sizzler was indeed freshly made and we relished every bit of it.
The staff was kind and the food was great. If the small flaws can be taken care of, I'm sure I'll be more than happy to visit Symphony...
Read moreI think it could be said there are 3 different restaurants in one here, although all under the "umbrella" of Symphony. The small downstairs area looked well kept and probably a nice enough place to eat. Upstairs there is an A/C room that looked more like a night life kind of place, and a non-A/C open-air room, where I ate. I was taken aback that all the tablecloths seemed to have cigarette holes. The head waiter, noting my dismay, brought a new tablecloth -- no holes, but mismatched with all the others. The view to the street on the front side and the grounds on the back was cut off by beer banner announcements and a large blue tarp. Lively but nondescript recorded music played in the background. The room seemed more of a "guy kind of place." Ambience there was not! The good service, however, was a welcome contrast.
My order of spicy tawa vegetables and laccha paratha was tasty but a bit greasy. Raw onions with sliced lemons and some kind of curly chip with chutney rounded out the meal. Chilled mosambi was quite nice.
My rating of 3 for this restaurant is based solely on my experience in the room I was in. Dining in one of the other rooms could be very different. It might be...
Read moreI recently visited this place for dinner, and unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. While the food was decent and the atmosphere was ok, I encountered significant issues with the billing process and the behavior of one of the staff members.
Firstly, there was a glaring error in the final bill, resulting in an overcharge. Despite bringing this to the attention of the staff, it took considerable time and effort to rectify the mistake, which was quite frustrating.
Moreover, I found the demeanor of one of the staff members to be unpolite and unprofessional which greatly detracted from the overall dining experience.
As a customer, I believe it's crucial for establishments to prioritize accuracy in billing and to ensure that all staff members uphold a standard of professionalism and courtesy. Regrettably, my experience at this place fell short of these expectations.
I sincerely hope that management takes this feedback seriously and implements measures to improve both the billing process and staff training.
Overall, my experience at in this place was disappointing, and I'm hesitant to return or recommend it to others until these issues...
