Tales & Spirits Hunter's Bistro -
Not new to a considerable lot of us, prior being a pure contemporary vegetarian restaurant & bar, Now very recently Flagged off their Non-Vegetarian Menu only accessible just at their Balewadi High-streets outlet . SB Road is still serving Only Vegetarian & Bar. Feel: Seating arrangements distributed in 3 sections, AC - Indoor , Indoor and garden seating. Entire seating is very well done and you can hang out most of your day with a wide spread of Drinks & Food menu. Not very Noisy, with the ideal music to which suites to the whole Ambience. Food: We depended on Captain's proposal on Food and Drink. , He was sure about what he was recommending and undoubtedly, all his suggestion was justified . Starters: Roti pe Boti: Small rounded Khameeri (make) Roti Topped with Succulent Pieces of Lamb, "नुसता चुमेश्वरी प्रकार" पार कपड्यांवर सांडे पर्यंत खाल्ले ... will leave you wanting more #HighlyRecommended #Donotclick #onlyeat. Surmai Fish Angara: The plate in picture say's it all "tempting to touch” and It was! surmai fish hand Rubbed with In-house spicy marination On taste, top marination was very much covered however inside marination was bit misanthrope and it drove the taste to the crude, right way it was highlighted to the Captain and he conveyed the same to Chef. Puneri Tangadi Chicken : झटकेबाज मिरचीच्या ठेचा पसरून त्यावर मस्त तंदूरी चिकन लेग pieces , जाळ आन धूर.... संगटच !! #MustTry Glazed Pork Ribs: Not a major fanatic of Pork, so no remarks from my side. पण ऐकून आहे की त्यांच्या कडे लै भारी भेटतात, तर Pork fan असाल तर ठोकून या एकदा... Ocean Crumbed Prawns: Deep Fried Prawn starters, with Lemon and Chili being a fundamental of marination and covered with Crumbed. Less fiery, impeccably fried from back to front, A great choice for prawn darlings! I would say. Main Course: Mutton Biryani: दम देउन हवी तशी बनवलेली, मस्त बासमती तांदूळ, प्रमाणांत वापरलेले मसाले , मला आवडली !!... अट एकच, Don't compare this biryani with those Dedicated Biryani Outlets... Nalli Nihari : लुशलुशीत मटण, हात लावताच मास आणि हाड वेगळे, लगेच कलते की कडक शिजलेले आहे बोलाई चे मटण , आणि रस्सा, टाक पाणी आणि कर कालच्या वाणी नसून, खरंच मेहनत दिसत होती, मंद आचेवर बनवलेला रस्सा आणि त्यात लुशलुशीत शिजलेले मास...नाद खुळा भावा !!! #MustTry Sali ma Marghi: Parsi style Chicken Curry topped with Potato Strips (Fried) served alongside a bowl of Brown Rice... For those Fitness Freak, ज्यांना पाप पण करायचे आणि Cheating पण नाही करायची !! Malabar Prawn Curry: A magnificently delicate and fragrant Rich curry from the coastal region, a genuine taste of seafood at its best. #MustTry Purple Ombré: PURPLE Ombré... for first 10 Minutes I was just gazing at this Crowd Pleaser ... Not being a BIG dessert fan लेकिन, आज ये सक्त लौंडा भी इस नाचीज के सामने पिगल गया !! Ombré means tones of colors: How about we begin from the base layer ? The base begins with Roasted almonds + Corn flakes + Nutella to make it solid base crunchy in taste. Topped with White chocolate citrus mousse Purple Sponge Then comes Dark chocolate Nutella mousse One progressively Purple Sponge layer White chocolate red currant mousse At last, Topped Vanilla purple cream along with Caramelized sugar delicate strings .. #7starrestaurantDessertfeeling AND YES. THE LAST OUTCOME IS A "SENSATIONAL DESSERT THAT ALWAYS PLEASES". #HIGHLYRECOMMENDED Rose and Nutella Pair: Special Macaroons.... a smooth, fresh meringue material, I discovered it a bit sweeter, not a major ordeal in the event that you gave miss on this. My Take: Added to my #Mustrecommend restaurant to my Foodie Friends/colleague, when they ask for any recommendation around Baner. If I would need to rank for their Food Styling/plating then it would be 5/5. I observed that special attention was given to Food Styling served overall tables and not just for our table. They have EXCLUSIVE Jain menu Entire Staff is very much aware of what they are presenting with all "Subtleties" by heart. Address: Park Grandeur, Baner - Balewadi Rd, Balewadi,...

#NonVegMenuLaunch
T&S is located in the food hub area of Balewadi high street and serves Italian, continental and Indian cuisine. T&S which used to serve only veg food along with bar has now started serving non veg food from 1st June 19. After an extensive market research and demand from their patrons the management decided to serve non veg food in their BHS Outlet, the SB road outlet still remains to be a Pure Veg one. The restaurant is spacious and has a pleasant ambiance. They have indoor and outdoor seating arrangement. We opted to have a seat in the indoor section which is AC. I was lucky enough to get an opportunity to explore few dishes from their upcoming non veg menu along.
Starters
Tacro: Croissant shells filled with green and veg makhanwala was good in taste, the veg makhanwala stuffing was superb however the crossiant wasn’t flaky at all.
Zhinga Mirch: Prawns marinated with green chilly thecha were clay over grilled, were superb in taste. Nice spicy punch and well cooked prawns were one of the best which I have had. #Musthave
Chicken Shish Touk: Chicken kebabs with Turkish spices was good in taste, it was mild on flavors and the chicken was well grilled and juicy.
Aloo Ka Chalu: Potatoes stuffed with cheese, cottage cheese, cashew nuts and mint were grilled. The stuffing was nice and flavorful; we felt that the smaller size of the potatoes can be used instead in the preparation. #Highlyrecommended
T& S serves 3 dips along with their starters, Apricot Chilly Jam, Goat Cheese - Pomegranate and the Mint-Coriander one. The Apricot chilly jam one impressed me a lot.
Salad: The cantaloupe melon caprese salad done with honey citrus dressing along with a hint of basil and was drizzled with balsamic. The salad also had huge slice of watermelon. A good and refreshing option. #Recommended
Soup: Roasted Fava bean soup did impress us all, Medium thick in consistency, creamy and rich in taste was served along with bread sticks, The bread sticks were extremely crispy and one of the bests which I have had. Order some extra bread sticks whenever you have this soup and you would definitely be delighted. #Musthave
Mains
Dilwala Butter Chicken: Don’t expect it to be a traditional butter chicken, this one is their own version which is prepared in lots of butter with char grilled boneless tandoori chicken pieces in it, it was more like a spicy thick gravy which was served along with Mini Kulcha, the gravy was extremely well blended and was excellent in taste. #Highlyrecommended
Neymeen Fish Curry: Kerala style fish curry with Surmai (king fish) pieces was a stunner! The curry was thick with amazing burst of flavors. The flavors were balanced and the texture was brilliant. It was serve along with steam rice and is a complete meal in itself. #Musthave.
Desserts
Chocolate Eclairs: Crispy hollow pastry shells filled with milk chocolate ice cream was topped with hazelnut & Bitter chocolate drizzle was superb in taste. The quantity of this particular dessert is very huge and can serve even 4 people. #Higlyrecommended.
Rose & Nuttela Pair: We were served with rose flavored macroon which were again impressive. The rose flavor was perfectly balanced, it was light soft and perfect on sweetness level.
Overall: Service was prompt and the staff was polite and friendly, The non veg menu is quite extensive and is pretty inviting, I had heard a lot about delicious veg food that is served at T&S and now with addition of the non veg dishes I look forward for my next visit very soon. The portion size is sufficient for 2-3 people. Thanks a lot team T&S for hosting us, chef sagar was open to feedback and suggestions and team T&S made sure we had a memorable evening.

Read more#WanderDriveEat - Tales & Spirits is a pretty iconic restaurant on SB road, but one I've never visited. But when I got news that they have started a branch in Balewadi and they are also gonna be serving non-veg, I got really excited. The place is really pretty, and has a great vibe! It's perfect to spend a whole Sunday afternoon sipping drinks, having some delicious food and chilling with your friends and family.
Drinks - We had white and red wine Sangrias and they were superb. Really refreshing, fruity and perfect. Strong enough for a little high but not too strong to get you drunk out of your mind!
Starters - We let the Captain suggest food for us and I must say he knocked it out of the park. The Roti pe Boti was the top of the bunch. Super juicy flavourful mutton on a crisp smokey mini roti. Perfect combination of spice flavours and crispy, juicy textures.
The Ocean Crumbed Prawns were super crisp and the prawns were fresh and succulent. Really tasty dish, perfect with some drinks! The Puneri Tangdi Chicken was another hit. Spicy and flavourful chicken legs, perfectly tandoored on a base of spicy, garlicy thecha! The combination was amazing.
The Glazed Pork Ribs were nice, but I was expecting a much more intense, caramelised - smokey flavour as well as a bit more spice. The Surmai Fish Angara too was a spicy marinade and it was well cooked, but the marination just hadn't penetrated the inside of the flesh. It needed more flavour as well, as it just tasted spicy. These 2 dishes need some improvement.
Mains - The mains were to die for! I wasn't expecting the Indian food to be this good here. I was super impressed.
The Nalli Nihari made me go cross-eyed for a while! The mutton was just fall off the bone and super moist. The curry was just perfect. Mild but full of whole spices, rich with loads of ghee flavour. The Roti was perfect too.
Malabar Prawn curry was another gem! Perfect coconut based curry absolutely loaded with South Indian flavours of curry leaves, pepper and turmeric! A slight hit of spice and superb soothing flavour of coconut with fresh plump prawns. A masterpiece!
Sali Ma Marghi - A classic Parsi chicken curry. Mild and flavourful brown curry topped with crispy potato crisps and juicy chicken served with traditional brown rice! Really soul satisfying!
Mutton Pot Biryani - Arrived smoking with a piece of hot charcoal with ghee on it to give a wonderful aroma! The pot is opened and the fragrance of whole spices and ghee envelops you! The biryani is really good! Mild, with just the right amount of masala loaded with ghee! The mutton is perfectly cooked, juicy, succulent and on bone, as it should be
Desserts - If we were impressed with food, the desserts basically decided to slap us silly with excellence! The desserts look so pretty! Literally like a piece of art! You don't feel like eating it and biting into that perfection!
The Purple Ombre looked like something the Queen is served on special occasions! A multi layered masterpiece. The base is roasted almond, nutella and corn flakes making it crunchy. Then come layers of white chocolate citrus mousse (orange flavour), then purple sponge, followed by dark chocolate nutella mousse, purple sponge and then white chocolate red currant mousse. Finally topped off by vanilla purple cream! There were some intricate caramel tuiles everywhere in the cake and on top as well! The combination of these complex flavours is just incredible and the cake is as soft as a feather! You can't get more exquisite than this!
We also had some Rose and Nutella Macarons! Crisp and delicate with amazing flavour, quite sweet though.
Verdict - Tale's & Spirits Hunter's Bistro has become on of my favourite places near High-Street. Really pretty, great music and chilled out vibe, with excellent food and...
