Venue: Taste Of Punjab

Time: 2PM
Taste Of Punjab is the newest buffet place in Viman Nagar. This is a sister branch of Rude lounge and a successful chain in Mumbai. After gaining success in Mumbai the brand is here in our city to serve us some delicious food with mesmerizing ambiance and great service.
The place is next to Phoenix mall, where Rude lounge is. Valet parking service is available and that is a bliss. Interior of the place is just WoW!! They have created a shish mehal(beautiful decor with glass and mirrors). Decors perfectly go with the name, when you think of Punjabi you think of glitters and bling and the decor shines and looks totally glittery. Service is prompt, it is a buffet place but starters are served on tables and servers keeps on coming unless you ask them to stop.
Listing the entire menu below with a small description of the items I tried.

With the amazing food, they have made sure that you are well entertained. The groovy music keeps your mood happy and then they have Bhangra performance with dhols and singing and yes you can join them and dance of the dhol tunes. They have made sure ladies feel well pampered with Mehandi(henna) booth. I would suggest getting Mehandi done in the end otherwise guys be ready to the server for them.
I had an amazing time at Taste Of Punjab. I would like to Thank Sanchita for inviting me and the two gentlemen whose names I forgot, who made sure that I had the best experience. Thank you team TOP and...
Read moreWe were a group of 25 people who went for a team lunch to Taste of Punjab. Enough has already been said about this awesome place in Viman Nagar, so let me not repeat. Rather I would just highlight the specialities:
First things first, Thanks to Harkirat Singh for making our booking experience smooth and Mr Kaushik for hosting us. The serving staff is well trained and pay good attention to their guests. They have a Valet parking available, which is a must in the busy Viman Nagar area. The moment you enter the restaurant you can feel the energy thanks to the vibrant, colourful and brightly decorated interiors. They also have a small stage where they have performance in the evening and the rocking Punjabi music playing in the background transports you to a different world. Huge, really huge variety of Indian dishes to offer and every dish on the menu is very well prepared!! The chicken kebabs were soft, moist and flavorful. The mutton dishes were well cooked and weren't chewy. Special items like Pani Puri, Butter chicken dosa, Parathas, Raan Biryani, Lassi/Buttermilk and Nachos provide plenty of variety, even for the choosy ones. The serving portion for roti, dosa, paratha is wisely kept small so as to minimise wastage and you can try everything on the menu. The gulab jamun were one of the best I've ever had! Soft and melt in the mouth, simply drool worthy! Food, Ambience, Service, Value for Money: 5/5
Suggestion: Keep it up and please maintain the high standards you have set for yourself!
Highly recommended buffet place if you are looking for some authentic north Indian cuisine. Will definitely...
Read moreThe first impression after reading all the reviews was a must go eatery but when we actually went there it was over hyped. The restaurant is located in the same building where Rouge Lounge is. There is a spooky lift that doesn't tell you where the "taste of punjaab " is. We had to literally check alternate floors and identify the same. The entry and the decor is brilliant. The colora are vibrant and gives you that punjabi vibe. We all know its a buffet restaurant but that doesn't mean that the waiters will wait for u to sit and start serving blindly, without asking for water or providing spoons and forks on the table. One of the waiters suddenly appeared out of nowhere and started serving. We had to literally ask for everything - the menu in non veg buffet, glass of water , spoons, drinks menu. When asked for chilled water, the person came up with ice cubes, with justification that chilled water in biseleri will cost us- did we say that we came for free food??? After complaining of the lethargic service to the lady in reception, another guy took over and it was slightly okay. Food is okay, nothing too special but on the spicier side. The desert was better than the previous two courses. The let down was the service. We have been to other many buffet places where the hospitality is top notch and the people serving make sure the basics are taken care of. I was a bit...
