#ankzfoodreviews Autobahn, a name which is not new to many. This place is located on 3rd of Phoenix Marketcity. Primarily, popular for Indian food, has now come up with their new menu #GlobalMenu, where now they will be serving dishes from across the world! We started with 2 mocktails one was Lychee based and another orange with a hint of coffee but both were extremely sweet for my palate. I usual don't prefer mocktails for the very reason! We all were extremely hungry and jumped onto whatever was served over the moving belt 😅 °Veg Quasedilla, a most healthy version of Mexican food. Mixed veggies seasoned and sauted a bit to retain the crunchiness, filled in a soft shell tortilla (I think it was made with wheat flour or combination of wheat & Maida) was served with nicely made salsa and a Chef's special dip. I think the shell can be made a lil crispier than what was served to us. But it made a great appetizer to start with! °Falafel Platter, another star of a dish. Crunchy falafel made with chickpeas were served with yummy hummus, baba ganoush and salad. I can enjoy this platter anytime during the day, here. Everything served on platter had absolutely right texture and was having an individual as well as an evident flavour of it's own. #MustTry °Crispy Spinach and Mushroom Crepe, cooked spinach filled in crepe rolls with some sauted mushrooms with cheese and then deep fried. Unique dish, this was my maiden encounter with deep fried crepe rolls which went OK ok. Spinach was cooked well, mushroom and cheese went well altogether. But, it lacked a punch, which was due to the lack of spice in the filling and I found the crepe covering a bit thick! °Indiana Pizza, a thin crust pizza loaded with cheese and amazingly marinated chicken chunks. The chicken was so well marinated in Indian flavors that I couldn't stop myself from having it. The crust needed a bit of improvement, we thought it was a little dry types. But the toppings were commendable and delectable. °Fish three pepper garlic and °Pad Gra Prow, as the name suggests 1st dish was made with fish and 2nd with chicken. Did not like either as in both the dishes fish oil was used in excess which gave it a bad smell which I couldn't handle. These didn't appeal to me at all. Yes, the fish was a bit better than chicken, eatable with just too much flavours on the coating! °Penne Pesto, pasta was well cooked in an equally delicious and simple pesto dressing. With minimal topping and soft knot buns the pasta made to the star dishes and was palatable. °Veg Thai Green Curry, the Thai green curry served with long grained steamed rice is a match made in heaven. #PerfectJodi The rich curry gave out some exquisite flavors of lemon grass, kafir lime leaves, green chilies and many more. Coconut milk base curry was uncomplicated with respect to taste & flavours and was immensely rich! These desserts are part of their old menu but one should not miss on them. #Rasmalai, after having just one bite, I like a most bhukkad kid, without any laaj laja asked for another bowl just for me 🤣 A royal sweet made using chenna balls and then soaked in 1st sugar syrup and then flavoured milk. The chenna flattened balls were soft and soaked well in slightly thickened milk and were served chilled. They literally melted in the mouth! #Rosogulla, another most popular and eaten Bengali dessert made with chenna, is not so favorite dessert of mine. But, autobahn wala rasgulla is definitely an exception to this, yes may be i wont have all 3 but definitely won't mind one. These chenna balls were soaked well in thin, water flowy consistency sugar syrup and were juicy and extremely addictive. Impressing me with rusgulla is difficult but they did so, 5/5 stars to them for this yummy dessert! #GulabJamun, ye toh mera pyar hai. I never miss gulab jamuns anywhere. They were equally good and delicious. 😊 Overall, good food with small room for improvement. Definitely going back for desserts and Indiana Pizza!

We entered to experience Autobahn, where your food comes to you on a conveyor belt no less. When I read about Autobahn on PEO, I used to wonder what happens after the initial wows, ohs, and ah's of seeing food on a conveyor belts wears off? Would the food be able to hold on to its own? Would the food be as good as the concept? I would say, yes but not a resounding yes. I would need to try a few more items from their menu to be able to give a resounding yes. First of all, I got a feeling, and I may be wrong, that AutoBahn missed a trick or two by not serving their top items from their menu. They instead settled to serve the second or third best items from their menu. We started off with Chana Chat and then for the longest time, the Egg Devil was the only item in the Nonveg bowl which was being served on the conveyor belt and surprisingly (or unsurprisingly) no one touched it. So round and round it went like an abandoned kid who's being deliberately made to look lost in the mall itself. After giving it some time, I pointed this to a server that there needs to more non-veg items and then it was duly fixed. The first nonveg item that was served was the Fish Crispy Cuts, thankfully NOT made out of Basa but Tilapia fish, I think. The fish was a winner as far as I am concerned. Super crispy outside, soft melt in your mouth fish inside. Perfect. Next came the Mysore Chicken. The dish and the taste reminded me of my time in Bangalore-Mysore. Nice, homely-touch to the chicken. My daughter enjoyed it the most. The other chicken item, the name of which I can't recollect, was pretty ho-hum. We opted for Mutton Roganjosh and Assorted Indian Rotis. The Mutton Roganjosh was enamoured with the soul of the mutton. We could feel the very essence of the succulent mutton in it. The gravy was thick and viscous just the way I like it. The rotis went well with the mutton. Overall, very nice. We highly appreciated the white wine from Jacobs Creek which went oh-so-well with everything we had. In desserts, we had some lovely hot gulab jams. End of a perfect dinner. Got to meet many PEO legends Sameer Janorkar Vijay Jadhav Kamlessh Melwani Sheetal Anil Nilangekar Kapil Kumawat and of course , the omnipresent, CEO of PEO Aniruddha Patil after a long time which was a cherry on the top of a wedding cake. There are many pluses for AutoBahn, the main being service with a smile and very attentive staff. However, AutoBahn needs to pull up its socks in terms of upping the ante in the food game. Don't get me wrong, the food was good without being wow or mind-blowing. Let me explain: On the 3rd floor, not too far away from AutoBahn lies the legendary Khiva. In essence, its AutoBahn vs Khiva fighting for Indian food scene on the 3rd floor, as far as I am concerned. Anybody who's been to Khiva can vouch for the heavenly Northern Frontier style food that is served there. As a paying customer, I am always thinking which place would give me a good bang for my bucks? Which place will serve me food that kicks my senses and elevates me to food coma? I am comparing two places, and when that happens there is every chance that the place which serves extra-ordinary food wins. Not once but always.

Now a days if you looked around you, you will see that you are surrounded by Automated machines/Things. Lets consider this Mall. What if... I told you to go to 3rd floor by taking stairs..! What..? Exactly same reaction will be yours. So instead of wasting time and energy we will take this lift or the escalator. Ting tong : you are on the 3rd floor. Have you ever thought of an Automated restaurant? NO/YES? Let me take you there. You guesed it right, we are at Braun AutoBahn at Phoenix Mall Pune. Semi automated restaurant where you will get your order on conveyor belt. Good use of robotics. The ambience is nice. Let me share my experience about the food. Humpty Dumpty :- Vegetable balls similar to manchurian balls tossed with bell papers and Shezwan sauce. Taste was nice but the vegetable balls were bit hard and chewy rather than soft. Tai Pei Chicken (TBH I am not sure about the dish name):- Grilled Chicken marinated with spices and paired with Beetroot hummus and pepper tossed salad. The hummus was Delicious and the marination of chicken was great but the chicken pieces were bit hard rather than soft and tender. Dal makhani:- Must try dish, the dal makhani was delicious and balanced in taste. The creaminess of the dish was enough to make you drool. Chicken Chettinad:- South Indian style chicken, the gravy was upto the mark but again it would be better if the chicken was more tender and soft. Cheese Garlic Chilli Naan :- Must try one. The naan was so soft and the taste was balanced as the cheese and garlic with some tiny chunks on chillies were balanced. Tres Leches :- Mouth melting famous maxican dessert. Butter cake soaked in three kinds of milk: evaporated milk, condensed milk, and heavy cream topped with cream. It was neither too sweet nor less, in short balanced in the sweetness. If you are willing to try something new other than regular sizzling Chocolate brownie then this is the dish you must go for. Overall my experience was nice. . . . - ₹ahul Mo₹e.

Autobahn- Smart Indian Dining!

Autobahn is India’s first restaurant serving food on convery belts, a unique concept of conveyor belt carrying the dishes which comes directly from the kitchen to your table. “See on the Move” has some fix menu which has options of lite snacks and starters served in different colour bowls with the name tag, the prices are also fixed as per the bowl colour, non veg dishes are easy to spot and are served in red colour bowls, the dishes are revolving around all the tables in the restaurant and you can pick any dish any no of time from the convery belt and you would be charged accordingly. Each table has a tablet which has all the menu details and you can also order dishes from the a la carte section which has soup, starters, mains, desserts and mocktails. Soups and mocktails are served on your table whereas the other a la carte orders arrive at you table on a special tray above the converybelt which is a sort of mini train. The tray stops exactly in front of your table and we can then pick our respective orders and press the confirm button which sends back the tray to the kitchen area. I was really impressed with the overall concept, the setup and flawless execution of the same. Autobahn serves Bengali, Chettinad, Goan, North Indian, Kashmiri and Gujrati Cuisnies.

We tried below mentioned dishes during our meal.

Mocktails:

Anar Mojito, Watermelon Basil, Kiwi Mango Collin, Purple Rain, Peru Pyala, Mango Lassi. All drinks were truly refreshing but my favourite picks were Kiwi Mango Collin which was a thick and sour drink with perfect blending of Kiwi and Mango, Peru Pyala a guava based drink which was a bit spicy and Mango flavoured lassi which is chef’s special recommendation, it was not too sweet and was superb in taste.

Starters

Fish Strips: The Deep fried fish coated with thin batter were flat in shape like cutlets and not the usual shape of strips, were crispy on the outside and moist inside, and good in taste. #Recommended

Corn Cheese Fry: This veg dish impressed me a lot. Corn and Cheese cutlets were deep fried, were medium spicy and superb in taste. The cutlets were crispy and had nicely melted cheese inside. #Highlyrecommended

Tandoori Chicken: Brilliant. I love tandoori chicken and the one served at Autobahn was done to perfection. The chicken was well cooked; the marination was superb and full of flavours. #Highlyrecommended

Cheemeen Porichatu: Traditional style Prawns prepared in a medium tangy and spicy sauce was excellent in taste. The prawns were well cooked and we finished this dish in no time. #Recommended

Mains:

Chicken Chaap: 3 Huge chicken pieces done in a spicy and thick gravy was superb in taste. The gravy was rich and aromatic and went well along with Laccha Paratha which was crisp and flaky. This was a chef’s special recommendation and we were glad we didn’t miss this one. #Recommended

Desserts

Gulab Jamun Cheese Cake: Cheese cake with Gulabjamun crust was perfect on sweetness level and was superb in taste. It was soft and creamy. It was so good that we repeated the order. #Highlyrecommended

Balushahi: A popular Indian desserts was which was not too sweet, was slightly crunchy and flaky on the outside and was moist inside. I personally liked this one. #Recommended

Brownie: Chocolate brownie with a twist, it had ginger and pepper as mentioned in the dish description. The Brownie was soft and chocolately, it was not too dense and had a hint of ginger but I persoanally felt that pepper was missing in the same.

Overall: Service was prompt and restaurant was hygienic. Staff was polite and friendly. The pricing might appear on a higher side considering the quantity served which is little less. The food quality is definitely good no complaints in the same. Autobahn is definitely a unique place where software and mechanism works together to give a superior customer experience. Thanks a lot Nitika and Rutuja for hosting us.

Autobahn, a name which is not new to many.

We all were extremely hungry and jumped onto whatever was served over the moving belt 😅

°Veg Quasedilla, a most healthy version of Mexican food.

#MustTry

°Crispy Spinach and Mushroom Crepe, cooked spinach filled in crepe rolls with some sauted mushrooms with cheese and then deep fried.

Overall, good food with small room for improvement. Definitely going back for desserts and...

Not...
