Ambience & Vibe: 4.5/5 Wadeshwar strikes the perfect balance between a casual dining spot and a classic South Indian tiffin center. The seating area is neat and open, with a vibrant and relaxed atmosphere. The ambience is quite pleasant — ideal for a quick breakfast, a weekend brunch, or a calm evening snack. It caters well to both solo diners and families. The place is almost always bustling, which adds to its local charm. ⸻ Food Quality & Taste: 4/5 Wadeshwar has built its reputation on consistently delivering authentic South Indian flavours, and it lives up to that. The idli I tried was soft, well-steamed, and served with flavorful chutneys and piping hot sambhar. It’s clear why this is one of their signature dishes. Though I didn’t try the dosa this time, it’s one of their most popular items, often recommended by regulars for its crisp texture and authentic taste. The green tea was surprisingly good — served hot, mild in flavor, and quite refreshing after the meal. A nice non-caffeinated option for those looking to keep things light. ⸻ Service: 4/5 Service is fast and efficient, especially considering the usually packed crowd. The staff is polite and knows the menu well. However, during peak hours, you might have to wait a bit to get seated. ⸻ Pricing: 3/5 Prices are on the higher side, especially compared to other South Indian joints in the city. But considering the quality, hygiene, and location, the rates are somewhat justified. It’s more of a premium tiffin experience than a budget eatery. ⸻ Crowd & Popularity: 4.5/5 Wadeshwar is clearly a favourite among Pune locals, especially college students, working professionals, and families from the surrounding areas. The crowd speaks volumes about the place’s popularity and trust. ⸻ Final Verdict: 4.2/5 Wadeshwar is arguably the best South Indian restaurant near ILS Law College, and for good reason. The food is authentic, the ambiance is pleasant, and the service is consistent. While the prices may be a bit steep, the overall experience makes it worth the occasional splurge — especially if you’re craving a delicious dosa or idli in a clean, relaxed setting.

To begin with i really like the ambience in this place. Other than that based on what we had read the reviews i feel the place is a bit overpriced by looking at the quality of the food served here in terms of taste. We had ordered a pav bhaji and restaurant special appee. Although the taste was average - good it was just like any other restaurants but the slightly at a higher price. We loved the ambience here. There is indoor and outdoor sitting here. People will enjoy their time here for sure. But you will still have a feeling that you could have a better food at lower price point. Other than that good restaurant overall. This place is crowded most of the time. People can nicely spend 30-60 mins here and would not know if you have already spent an hour there. The waiters are good and polite. The cleanliness done by the cleaning crew is prompt and well sanitized too. You can view menu through a QR code here as well if contactless menu is prefered. So that provision is available . You can surely try this place out. Have fun, take care, enjoy and live every moment.

Wadeshwar on Law College Road is a decent option if you’re looking for South Indian food in Pune, but it has its ups and downs. The ambiance is lively, with plenty of outdoor seating, which is nice for a casual meal. The menu offers a good range of South Indian dishes, and the dosas are generally well-made, crispy, and tasty. However, I found the overall experience to be somewhat inconsistent. While some dishes, like the dosas and idlis, are flavorful, others can be hit or miss in terms of taste and freshness. The sambar and chutneys, which are usually the highlight, felt a bit lacking in flavor during my visit.Service is usually quick, but during peak hours, it can be slow, and the place tends to get crowded, which affects the overall dining experience. It’s a decent spot for a quick bite, but there’s room for improvement, especially considering the high expectations for a place with such a good reputation. Wadeshwar is worth a visit if you’re in the area, but don’t expect to be blown away.

The quality of the food is good. Also received good and fast service from the waiter. However at the time of billing, card swipe machine was not working due to network issue. As my daily upi limit got exhausted and i didnt had enough cash on me, i asked them for other available options. Cashier said they have no other option and asked me to talk with there manager.

Mr. Manager with attitude of owner arrived after 10 mins of waiting. Said , we have network issue here , machine gets out of range anytime, ithappens frequently. we don't have any option. I somehow managed to call up my friend and ask her to make the payment.

As a suggestion i asked manager to put a sign board stating "we have a network issue , dont depend solely on card payments" so that it will be useful for someone in future. Suddenly The Manager started shouting on me. " I can't put such sign.... It's not my issue.. its your problem and so on... "

I asked him to lower his voise and speak decently for several times. But he was in mood to listen and continued shouting in same voice. I could see Whole place was looking at us at the counter. But he was in no mood to stop and lower his voice. I told him your bill has already been paid, to which after cross checking with cashier his voice got somewhat lowered and started blaming me for his high voice.

I don't know if he was a manager of wadeshwar or waiter at some local street food vendor. But surely he had no sophistication, politeness, manners and attitude for post of a manager.

Atleast expecting some sense to respect a customer who walks in at the restaurant.

I know it doesn't not even count but, For all the humiliation i received, "Wadeshwar" lost a customer for...
