A Regal Dining Experience with Scenic Views: Khamma Ghani Restaurant Review
During my visit to Udaipur last month, I had the pleasure of dining at Khamma Ghani Restaurant, and it truly lived up to its reputation as a must-visit culinary destination. Located near the lake, this restaurant offers a regal dining experience coupled with breathtaking views.
One aspect that stood out upon entering Khamma Ghani was the elegant ambiance and attention to detail. The restaurant exudes a sense of grandeur, transporting guests to a bygone era of royal indulgence. From the exquisite decor to the attentive service, every aspect is meticulously curated to create an unforgettable dining experience.
The menu at Khamma Ghani is a culinary delight, showcasing the best of Rajasthani cuisine. Whether you have a penchant for non-vegetarian delicacies or prefer vegetarian options, this restaurant caters to a diverse range of palates. The extensive menu boasts a wide variety of traditional Rajasthani dishes, prepared with authentic flavors and using the finest ingredients.
While Khamma Ghani is undoubtedly an exceptional dining destination, it is important to note that it is on the higher end in terms of pricing. The regal dining experience and the quality of food justify the cost, but it may not be the most budget-friendly option for everyone.
One of the highlights of dining at Khamma Ghani is the picturesque view of the nearby lake. Being able to savor a delicious meal while enjoying the serene lake view adds an extra layer of tranquility to the experience. It creates a perfect setting for relaxation and indulgence.
The staff at Khamma Ghani deserves special mention for their impeccable service and hospitality. They are attentive, knowledgeable, and go above and beyond to ensure that every guest feels welcomed and well taken care of.
In conclusion, Khamma Ghani Restaurant in Udaipur offers a royal dining experience accompanied by stunning lake views. While it may be on the pricier side, the ambiance, exquisite Rajasthani cuisine, and exceptional service make it a worthwhile culinary adventure. If you are seeking a memorable dining experience that transports you to the regal era of Rajasthan, Khamma Ghani is the...
Read moreWe were strolling through the alleys near Udaipur city palace and trying to find a good non vegetarian restaurant where we can have a local Rajasthani lunch. We got into an auto and he literally pushed and sold us Khamma Ghani which later on I got to know that any auto who brings the customer gets free meal. And guess what, he only charged us 100₹ instead of 150₹ which would have been the actual cost. We had laal maas in Jaisalmer and Jodhpur (Blue Turban - Fantastic everything including food, service, view and live music) which was very sumptuous but the overall experience in Khamma Ghani Restaurant was shambles. The food was super average (if not poor) but the biggest lowlight was the service. It seems that the restaurant does not charge service tax and hence all the waiters cater to only their respective tables and doesn’t give a flying f* to any other customer. They all had expressions which seemed like they were doing a favour on us by serving. Honestly, our waiter also had the audacity of asking for service tip after all of this. The biggest reason why I believe the service and food is extremely poor and more importantly, the customers are taken for granted because they have all these autos and taxis getting them customers for free meals. We didn’t bother to complain or gave a feedback to the manager as today is our last evening here and there was few other customers who were complaining the same. The guy in the extreme right in front of POS is the other waiter who didn’t even bother to even listen to what we had to say considering our waiter was stuck with other customer trying to ask for the service tip 🤔 You can feel free to visit there if you are up for a shamble experience considering the food is super expensive as compared to other equivalent restaurants in the main alleys (if not better) I would suggest Lake Shore Restaurant to anyone who is looking out for a good meal experience with live music and extremely humble staff as we had this amazing experience...
Read moreThe restaurant goes without saying, has a touch of Udaipur by default. Situated right beside the lake side and the other entrance side has the narrow Udaipur lane which too gives a nice vibe. Only one car and a bike can stand together on that road. About the sitting arrangement: The restaurant has its own parking and the seating is divided into three sections. The high seating area has a low floor dining set-up as well as a table chair set up. The center has a small lawn and a table chair arrangement attached with a roof giving a lake view. And right on the top of the lawn sitting area is another table chair arrangement dine in option with lake view. On the right is the waiting area and washroom. Food:
We were 4 adults and 2 kids. The bill was approximately 5.8k( including taxes) This was my first food experience in Udaipur and was super excited to try lal Maas. So we ordered: Starters: Chicken Malai Tikka- Rating 1/5 Chicken Banjara Tikka- Rating 1/5 Roasted Papad- NA
Main course Lal Maas: Maas M: (Mewari if not wrong. Don't remember the name exactly) I was disappointed with the taste, quality, and quantity of the food. Both the mutton main course almost tasted the same. The only difference was less salt and appropriate salt.
Breads: Chappari Tokri: 4/5 Butter Nan and butter roti Had a mix of breads. All of them tasted good
Drinks: Budweiser: (did not taste authentic) Corona (No complaints)
Dessert: Hot Chocolate Brownie with Ice Cream: 4/5
Service: The waiters were polite and knew their job. After our meal, we were provided with wet...
