Title: Disappointing Experience at Tribute, Udaipur
⭐️☆☆☆☆
My recent visit to Tribute in Udaipur was a truly disappointing experience that I feel compelled to share. The hospitality and management at this restaurant left a lot to be desired. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that our visit would not be a pleasant one.
The first sign of trouble was the 40-minute wait we were asked to endure before being seated. Despite the inconvenience, we patiently waited, hoping for a great dining experience. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse once we were finally shown to our table.
To our shock, the manager, Karan, displayed a complete lack of professionalism and courtesy. He not only misbehaved but also treated us with disrespect. Adding insult to injury, we were directed to a table that was suitable for only three people, despite being a group of four adults. It was evident that the restaurant's seating arrangement was inadequate and poorly managed.
When I politely requested a larger table to accommodate our group, Karan's response was both dismissive and rude He intentionally asked me which city you belong and He blatantly refused our simple request and told us that they couldn't offer a seating arrangement for four guests. This level of disregard for customer satisfaction and comfort is truly disheartening.
I feel compelled to caution all fellow food enthusiasts to exercise caution when considering Tribute as a dining option. The hospitality and management at this establishment are subpar, and the behavior exhibited by Karan, the manager, is simply unacceptable.
In conclusion, my experience at Tribute, Udaipur, was nothing short of a letdown. The negative attitude of the manager and the inability to provide suitable seating for our group left a bitter taste in my mouth. I sincerely hope that the management takes steps to rectify these issues and improve the overall dining experience for future patrons.

Read moreWe had heard a lot about this place and Tribute is truly one of the must visit restaurants in Udaipur. I must say, it did live upto it's expectations. We went there for lunch and it was a beautiful experience sitting by the serene lake side of Rang Sagar, quiet and calm and gorging on some delectable food served here. It has indoor as well as outdoor seating and I am sure it will be a pleasant sight in the evening with all the fairy lights surrounding the place. Outdoor seating is near the lake whereas Indoor one has a huge canopy which gives a feel of huge tent with glass walls. I personally loved the landscaping done, especially with some beautiful flowers at the entrance and the garden.
Moving to the food we ate here - we started Tomato Soup with cream and moved to few lipsmacking appetisers - first was the Palak Cheese Balls, which is one of their signature dishes and it literally just melts in your mouth. Must have at Tribute! Next was the Veg Seekh Kebab, just perfectly grilled not too dry, not very spicty and last was the mouth watering Veg Pakodas which were a mix of potatoes, onions and green capsicum. The best part of all these starters was that though every item was fried, it didn't seem to be very oily, which is amazing.
Moving to the mains, we ordered one of their signature dishes Malai Kofta and Punjabi Dum Aloo. The Koftas were really soft and perfect blend of potatoes, paneer and spices. Punjabi dum aloo was also delicious and not too spicy which was just right for our taste palette. For Sweet endings to our meal, we called for Gajar Ka Halwa and Moong Dal Halwa, both of which were simply mouth watering and divine.
All in all Tribute is one of the best restaurants of Udaipur and one should not miss it, especially for their food. Very courteous staff ensured we had a great time and experience at Tribute.
Ambience - 4/5 Food -...
Read moreTribute Restaurant in Udaipur is one of those places that leave a lasting impression, not just for the food but for the overall experience. Located by the lakeside with a beautiful view of Rang Sagar Lake, the setting itself is peaceful and scenic—especially during sunset. The ambience is calm and elegant, with tasteful decor and a relaxed outdoor seating area that really brings out the charm of Udaipur’s natural beauty. It’s a lovely place to unwind and enjoy a nice meal with family, friends, or even for a quiet dinner.
The food here is genuinely impressive. The menu offers a good mix of Indian, Rajasthani, and a few continental dishes. I tried a couple of North Indian items, and everything was cooked to perfection—well-balanced spices, fresh ingredients, and served hot. The paneer dishes and dal makhani stood out for me, and even the basic roti and rice were served with care. The portion sizes were decent, and the presentation added a premium feel to the meal without being over the top.
What adds to the overall vibe is the attentive and polite staff. Service was smooth and professional throughout my visit. They were helpful with recommendations, and the food didn’t take too long to arrive, even though the place was moderately busy. I also liked that they didn’t rush anything—giving us enough time to enjoy the view and the food at our own pace.
The restaurant is clean and well-maintained, and the lakeside seating adds a very calm and romantic atmosphere in the evenings. It’s slightly on the premium side in terms of pricing, but the quality and overall experience make it well worth it.
I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Udaipur—whether you're a tourist looking for a memorable meal or a local wanting to celebrate something special. The food, ambience, and service all come together to create a very satisfying...
