I remember almost 9 years ago when I came to this place. At that time the upstairs had a single lightbulb hanging over simple tables, it was dim lighting, and then downstairs they had a little fire on the ground where they were roasting chapatis. At that time you wouldn't even know you could get food there because of its location tucked in the corner. Fast forward to today and it sure has developed but just like before it maintains a reputation among locals and tourists alike. I wasn't even sure it was the same place so I'm glad my guesthouse recommended eating here. The thali that we ordered came with only a single, tiny serving of daal and sabji, which wasn't enough even for the 4 rotis and rice served. The lady serving us was quite unfriendly and told us we won't get any extra daal, and that we would have to order a separate plate of daal.
