Castle's Barbeque - Ludhiana — Restaurant in Rajguru Nagar

My visit to Castle Barbeque, Wave Mall in Ludhiana was discouraging and I want to share my disappointment with others. The buffet was not up to my expectations, and I had several issues during my meal.

Firstly, the snacks they served, known as chat, weren't fresh, which was really disappointing. Fresh food is important, but they didn't get it right.

Secondly, the crispy corn 🌽 was way too salty, making it hard to enjoy. The seasoning seemed careless, and it made the dish unpleasant.

The grilled food ♨️was another letdown. The portions were way too small, and they brought them out very slowly. It felt like they were intentionally holding back, and I felt neglected as a paying customer.

The paneer dish🧀 was also a disappointment. It wasn't fresh and had a bitter taste, indicating it wasn't good anymore. A place like this should serve fresh and delicious paneer.

Service was frustratingly slow, and it took them a long time to attend to us, which wasn't expected at a restaurant in this price range.💰💰

To add to the disappointment, after waiting for 15 minutes, they served only four small momos for two people. It was quite funny, but not in a good way.🧄

Surprisingly, they added service charges without telling us, on top of the taxes, and claimed it was voluntary. This left a bitter feeling.🤷

Overall, my experience at Castle Barbeque was unsatisfactory. The lack of fresh and well-prepared food, along with small portions and slow service, made it far from an enjoyable visit. I advise others to think twice before choosing this restaurant for their dining...

One of my worst experiences in this restaurant. First of all their seating is pathetic. We were given a table for 4 with two chair and one sofa type seat for two. I was on the sofa and it was like sitting on wood. There was no cushion in it, my back started aching after some time. Then comes the food quality. Chicken tikka was not at all cooked, it was completely raw we had to spit out in our plates. I then told them to replace it, which they did, but next batch was also not so satisfactory. Prawns were pathetic. Then their manager asked us that whether we would like to have pizza or Dosa, we said pizza but it never came. Lol I don't know why they even asked us when they were never going to give. Waiters come to ask u regularly that anything you want to repeat but your repeated thing comes very veryyy late. Even for the main course your breads are not served on time. U have to wait so much that all your other things get cold. I liked the desserts section though. Live Icecream was good. That's what gets them one star. Finally comes the bill issue, they have hidden the service tax in the bill so smartly that u will not notice it at first, only the letter 'S' is written on the bill in the name of service tax. On enquiring they said that it's in every bill and it's mandatory. When I further told them that they can not charge me this without my consent then they agreed to refund me the service tax which was approximately 375 Rs. Overall I would never again visit it and will not recommend anyone to visit...

Forget it, either delayed or ignored. • The taste of the same dish changes every time — is the chef experimenting on us? • Calling that pizza is a joke — it’s just a kulcha with toppings slapped on. • For vegetarians, only four sad items in the main course. Are we paying full price for this? • The whole restaurant is filled with smoke from the kitchen — suffocating and irritating throughout the meal. • No papad, because apparently that’s a luxury here. • The washroom doesn’t work — they ask you to go a floor down and walk almost 600 meters. Unbelievable! • Asked for tissues multiple times, and finally told “we don’t have tissues.” What kind of restaurant doesn’t have tissues? • Dessert section? Barely anything, and whatever’s there tastes horrible. • The ice cream machine is dead, so forget about that too. • The ambience is a disaster, with no ventilation — feels like you’re sitting in a smoky kitchen. • Honestly, I was trying to think of even one good thing about this place — couldn’t find any.

Total waste of money, time, and patience. Definitely not coming back and wouldn’t recommend this...
