Nebali fusion cafe — Restaurant in Sikkim

The ambience, service, food.. everything was amazing. Mr. Yuel did a fabulous job. Didn't know what to expect of The NeBali special mock tail. Was kinda Blue fuzzy candy which tasted just too good and the oreo shake as well. The flavour, texture, creaminess of green Thai curry and the chicken cooked to perfection, so soft nd tender. It was just wowww.. Even the Chicken Schnitzel, juicy inside. Wasn't overfried as most people do. Loved the grilled veggies served alongside. Nothing to give a critical remark in Penne Alfredo as well. But the star of the evening was lemon coriander soup. 💯💯 As we say desserts can either make or ruin your dining experience, same thing happened here. The Banana Fritters along vanilla ice cream, tooooo sweet. No flavour other than sweet. Do not think desserts as so simple course. As you check upon balancing flavours, texture, etc with mains, please do check upon the same with it. And the caramel sauce of Treasure Bag was dark and burnt. Other than the desserts...

As tourists, we were made to feel very welcomed. The restaurant specialises in Indonesian cuisine but also has a few dishes of other cuisines such as Chinese and Thai. We tried out Balinese Chicken , a chicken dish made with coconut curry (10/10 recommend and also the restaurant speciality), Konjee crispy buff(really yummy. A little bit on the spicy side.), bamboo noodle chicken (would recommend to have it with a curry dish else it will very dry but still quite tasty nonetheless). These were accompanied by a peach iced tea. It was a tad bit sweeter than how I like it but my mom liked it, so I guess it really depends on the person. One thing I really loved about this place is that the washroom was really clean. The service was up to the mark and the staff were really hospitable as well. Our waiter Ashish (apologies if I’m typing it incorrectly) helped us out a lot with picking our dishes and was very well mannered. Would totally visit this place if I ever come to...

Located at the end of MG Marg above Tripti's, Ne Bali is a recently opened cafe.

I ordered the Lemongrass Iced Tea and Buff Pot Roast Combo. The food came quick and was great. The iced tea was sweet with a herbal aftertaste and the pot roast buff was tender yet not falling apart. The wait staff was friendly and they had excellent service. And the seating and ambiance is fantastic.

The major downside would be the price as it is on the higher end and the portions would be considered smaller than usual.

I would consider this place to be visited by those visiting Gangtok.
