Nestled in the heart of the city, Hotlix is a haven for aficionados of both craft beer and culinary delights. During my recent visit, I had the pleasure of immersing myself in their unique fusion of exceptional brews and tantalizing cuisine, and the experience left an indelible mark on my palate.
As I entered Hotlix, I was greeted by a lively atmosphere buzzing with the excitement of fellow patrons eager to indulge in the diverse offerings. The rustic yet inviting ambiance set the stage for an evening of exploration, where every sip and bite promised to be a revelation.
Hotlix boasts an extensive selection of craft beers, curated from both local breweries and renowned producers worldwide. From crisp lagers to robust stouts, there's something to satisfy every beer enthusiast's palate. I found myself drawn to the IPA flight, which offered a tantalizing journey through a spectrum of hop profiles, each brew expertly crafted to perfection.
Accompanying the stellar lineup of craft beers is Hotlix's inspired culinary menu, which seamlessly marries traditional flavors with innovative twists. The beer-infused dishes are a testament to the chef's creativity and dedication to culinary excellence.
One standout pairing was the Beer-Battered Fish Tacos, featuring flaky cod enveloped in a light, crispy batter infused with a hint of citrusy IPA. The vibrant flavors of the fish were perfectly complemented by the tangy slaw and creamy avocado, creating a symphony of taste sensations with every bite.
Equally impressive was the Beer Cheese Soup, a velvety concoction infused with the rich, malty notes of a local stout. The hearty soup was a comforting indulgence, offering a perfect balance of warmth and depth of flavor.
Of course, no visit to Hotlix would be complete without sampling their signature Beer-Braised Brisket. Tender and succulent, the brisket was infused with the bold flavors of a robust porter, resulting in a dish that was both comforting and complex.
Throughout my dining experience, the attentive staff at Hotlix provided impeccable service, guiding me through the beer selection and offering expert recommendations to enhance my culinary journey.
In conclusion, Hotlix is a culinary gem that seamlessly blends the art of craft beer with the craft of cuisine. Whether you're a beer connoisseur, a food enthusiast, or simply seeking an unforgettable dining experience, Hotlix offers a feast for the senses that is sure to leave you craving more. Read moreVisited this place for the very first time yesterday and tried some of the dishes namely Boneless chilli chicken (Dry), Chicken butter masala (Half) and Butter nan. As far as the quality of the food is concerned the preparations (I mean the gravy or the dry mix) tasted good but together with the chicken just made the dish ok'ish as the chicken in both the dishes weren't really flavourful as some well marinated chicken tastes and was really tough to my liking. Aslo the quality of the chicken felt not upto the mark. Now, as far as the price is concerned it's really not on the expensive side considering a place like MG marg, Gangtok but still I feel that the above point could have been done better in that price point. The ambience is good but what could have add upto the ambience would have been the behaviour of the waiters, atleast the one serving us didn't feel to enjoy her job at all and leave aside all that even didn't have the bare minimum smile while greeting or handling customers which I believe is very important. Also she seemed to have less knowledge about the items in menu and seemed to very disinterested in even taking our order down. This is something that I wish the management of Hotlix to really look into cause these waiters and the other support staff are the once which represent them entirely in front of the customers and is the most important link between any Hotel and it's customers. Hope that the management finds this review and improves accordingly as they have a great place and these things can really create a mark in there future customers mind...
Read moreKindly read this review before checking this place : Been here twice , once back in 2018 and the other was in 2022 . Huge changes had taken place by then as a second level dining was opened up later by them. Back in 2018 the place , food , staff was excellent. Great hospitality, quite generous staff and service was timely as well . But in 2022 when I revisited this place , never had I ever faced such a racial discrimination by anyone in the entire country. We had to wait to get a table for 3 first , after talking a lot to the manager requesting that we are really interested to eat at his dinner , he somehow put a table around a corner where nothing is supposed to be , that spot was filthy trust me . We were requesting for a table at the top floor but we're being denied for quite some time . After rejecting that table , my brother spoke in Nepali to the manager and then only we got a seat at the top floor where there were 3-4 tables free and only local people were sitting there . I was stunned to see not a single tourist at that time of the night on the top floor , only the local people got the first floor access it seems 😂 . Anyways, we ordered some food to which I learnt that if something is good once , it's not meant to stay the same. We literally faced racism in , like we were dumb stuck . Been in Sikkim for 3+ years , for the first time faced racism so I was kinda set back but yeah , had to share...
