We had mixed experiences. I saw some reviews calling it chill. It was not at the time we were there. I feel "The Coffee Shop" has a little bit of an identity crisis. While the food is commendable as well as the staff, there were a couple of issues. They need to decide if they are a bar/club or a laid-back coffee shop. When you picture a coffee shop, it is generally a laid back place for conversation and perhaps some work or browsing on a laptop, with various offerings of food and drink. They meet the latter half of that statement. Soft chill music is usually on tap. When we were there, the music was averaging 69+ db with common peaks in the 70s. This made casual conversation difficult. Although there was a woman there working on a laptop. While the music was somewhat current pop, it did not fit the name. I guess where it did meet the definition of chill was the speed of service. The appetizers were out in 22 minutes from order. The last entree was served at just past the 1 hour mark with about 8 minutes of the awkward time when the 1st and last in our party received their dish. We were a party of four with one child. When we arrived, there were 2 other occupied tables...
Read moreI have seen for the first time that a restaurant serves back the same piece of food that you just returned instead of cooking a fresh batch and that too there are no change in the food when it came back. We ordered Mustard grilled Pork chop after hearing from a friend and later realised it was the worst decision to go with it. Meat was not cooked properly and was so hard that a sharp knife slipped out of hand while trying to cut the meat. We ordered Italian Chicken popcorn, Beer batter Prawn and Non veg Cannelloni, all were fairly good and made our expectations high which was taken down completely by the Pork. What made us feel more disgusted is that when we told them about the meat issue, he was waiting to hear from us what do we want and even after asking for a fresh batch, we got served the same pieces of meat that we returned and in same condition. I would recommend everyone not to go with pork items here, stick with chicken and prawn as it is...
Read moreOne of the best chill cafe/pub experience in the city. The atmosphere is lively and the best thing is how spacious it is. It feels very cozy and personal. It was a Sunday and we got to enjoy live music too. It was really nice. Ordered quite a few items and they're really good. We had
Beer battered prawns (4/5) - it's deep fried but tastes extremely light. They serve 8 of them. Prawns are juicy. Only off putting thing about this is the smell of prawns is slightly there. Otherwise a great option to try. 🍤
BBQ chicken wings (4.8/5)- one of the best if not the best item from them. Heavenly taste. Perfectly saucy, slightly spicy. Also 8 pieces will be served. A must try. 🍗
Supreme Nachos (3.8/5)- The amount is a lot. But I felt that the cheese was less and the tomato sauce that was poured was too tangy, it didn't have much flavour only sour. Otherwise it's okay. 🥗
We had all of these with beer.🍻 A must visit place for quality time...
