Palm Tree Lodge — Hotel in Siliguri

We had a pretty much bad experience giving 3 rating because room and washroom was good. OYO management is completely worst there is no understanding between property manager and OYO.

I booked my stay for INR570 via AGODA app after reaching to the property after traveling for 7hr the property owner says we can't provide you with the room because our standard per day tarrif is INR1400 and he asked me to speak with OYO team or AGODA team or pay additional amount and then we can allocate you a room.

Then almost for an hour speaking with AGODA team explaining them the situation and then OYO team again explaining the situation and informing them booking was already done previously and i won't be paying any extra amount and it's the fault of OYO team not us.

Then AGODA team agreed and asked me to pay INR1400 and they would refund the additional amount and then i got my stay after 90min of struggle.

Now after having multiple email exchanges for 2days between me and OYO/AGODA i have been today in 30business days i would be getting my refund 🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️

I would suggest all the traveler please first contact the property manager where you wish to stay and ask for per day charges and then do the booking 🙏🏿🙏🏿

My worst fourth bad...

Decent place , decent rooms , much better than any other normal Oyo's but Oyo collection hotels still have a long way to go before they try to cater the upper middle class to posh category , if u want to cater to the premium segment , u cannot compromise on quality , a 4 inch mattress which is comfortable on the body is way better than having an 8 inch matters with no comfort , biggest problem was too many musqitoes which is because it is located just next to a dumping yard in an old barren building just next to it.... That's what's unhygenic and harmful. Apart from that , no complaints... Decent service , water available at all times , bathrooms super spacious , cupboards well built and clean. Room service was pretty decent with good behaviour of entire team of this hotel. Willing to help at all times. I just wish if Oyo management spent a little more on this hotel and put this into their premiums , this could be a game changer but they're not yet there. Location wise perfect , just in the heart of the city , everything at stone's throw...

When we entered the hotel, the manager denied us the entry and behaved with us in distasteful manner. He then told us to contact oyo and make them pay more for the rooms. It was sheer harasment of customer like us, we have to wait and finally pay more than we booked the hotel for.(oyo did not pick up the call). We paid 800 more and payment was not done through the oyo app...it was paid to the hotel manager's google pay.(bascically black money). Every single staff was behaving in pathetic way. The walls of the rooms that were given to us were soaking wet from water. It was smelling bad.

Genuine Overall rating Hospitality- very poor Quality of rooms- very poor Locality- good(near vega circle mall) Behaviour of staff- pathetic Would not recommend at all.
