Andhra Gunpowder — Restaurant in Bengaluru

Hello folks hope you are doing well and I recently reviewed a place called "Andhra Gunpowder".

Let's talk about the Packaging: Well the packaging was really good and it was spill proof they had also sent us the pouch of sanitizer keeping the safety of customers in mind which I really liked.

let's talk about the food and taste: So I ordered Andhra veg carrier meal which serves for 3-4 peoples for ₹499 and it was worth it. The taste of this meal was outstanding they had sent us Poppu this was one of the best dish in the meal because this was very mild in spice and garlic and the taste boosts up with ghee. Rasam was also good which is very yummy and it was also mild spicy and makes us remind Andhrapradesh. Vegitable Sambar was also yummy this reminds me my grandmother who makes the tastiest sambar ever known. Gunpowder this was the center point in all the items because when added with ghee the taste of gunpowder out blasts. Brinjal Curry this one of the spicy and juicy dish because it was giving the flavour of ginger and garlic and brinjal was very juicy which makes the curry much more tastier. Fir sides they sent us Chutney and mixture.

And for the desserts they had sent us Shahi Tukda which I personally did not like much because the bread which the restaurant chose was salt bread and the sweetness was not balancing the the saltyness of the bread. Anguri Rasmalai was good but I think they did not add much sweetness to this dish makes it Rasmalai. Dry fruit Lassi this Lassi was very sweet and rich with dry fruits. Mango Lassi this Lassi was reminding me the kaccha mangi bite choclate because in this Lassi the mango they have used was bit sour and yet it was wonderful.

I ordered special chicken Biriyani from Andhra gunpowder and what I received was just spicy Biriyani masala rice, 1 egg and 2 peanut seed sized chicken piece priced at 285₹. I got 100₹ discount on the food order made through mobile app from where I ordered the food.

I ordered pepper chicken and chicken kabab for 204₹ after discount and I felt like food quantity I received was for just tasting and not to fill the stomach hunger. Order received in a small raitha plastic container.

It’s a scam run by restaurants in the name of discount or cash back.

I shall never order any food from them, neither I would not suggest anyone to order food online from them. In case, if you wish to try them then I would suggest you to visit them for dining experience. Strictly no for online...

NEVER ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT

On March 1, 2025, I placed order ONDC_703172RoPLfc through Ola for food from Andhra Gunpowder. The assigned delivery agent contacted me, stating the ordered item was unavailable and requested I cancel the order. I promptly requested the agent to seek alternative menu options from the restaurant. The restaurant, however, refused and directed me to contact Ola customer support.

Despite my explicit request for alternative options, and without my consent, the restaurant pressured the delivery agent into canceling the order. This resulted in a financial loss of INR 237.15.
