Adyar Ananda Bhavan - A2B — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

From the moment I stepped in, i was eagerly waiting to have food with Ghee podi , the food came after 20 mins . After the food came I asked for podi and ghee as all the A2B provided it at the beginning but here only after another 10 mins of waiting I asked where is podi and ghee they said its extra 40 rupees I said ok bring it then I waited for another 10 mins after having all my food they brought me the podi and ghee which wont be even enough for a 1 year kid and even i had it with my remaining small amount of rice. I also order a special meals in that they wont keep the things which were included in the special meals we have to ask one by one because they will say they forgot to keep . I had food mostly in all the A2B across Tamil Nadu because A2B is my Favourite(But not now) (you can also verify my reviews for all other A2B’s )

I know what all comes in the special meals menu and a normal meals but they are refusing that Veg biriyani and Ice cream wont be included in special meals later after asking they provided both Veg biriyani and ice cream. They also say that the food is Limited for normal meals which costs 180 rupees who will have a limited worst meals for 180 rupees. The rice was either undercooked or just confused. I’ve had more satisfying meals during dental surgery.

The only good thing is I came to know the worst hotel in Kanchipuram

Save your money. Save your taste buds. Go literally anywhere else in the same line there are many good hotels.

Bad bad bad No good service. The service is bad. Usually other A2b restaurant give unlimited rice and podi with ghee but here one teaspoon of podi 20rs and 1/2 teaspoon ghee 20rs this disappointed me. Recently went to have lunch in this mainly for the podi with ghee where in other places they will give unlimitedly but here very little I paid for thali people served me food very late and many food missing in thali no vegetable biriyani, ice cream or extra podi. Even I ordered special thali i dint dint service for extra rice. No one came and asked whether I need another serving worst service. I need to appreciate vellore a2b the man over there won't leavenus without eating full by serving again and again but here nothing just finding a way to get money in removing small small happiness from food..When asked why plate misses some items people over there tell that it's not my job it's the other one who is incharge and no responsible answers. Want to get irritated by eating the best place is this... Totally disappointed and...

Visited Adyar Ananda Bhavan for lunch after a heartfelt dharshanam of Kamakshi amma and Ekambareswarar.

Had an amazing lunch experience. We weren't too hungry so chose to try 2 starters and a small portion of dessert.

We tried, Honey Chilli Gobi which was piping hot and super crispy glazed with a great sweet and tangy sauce with onions, capsicum and green chilli. It's definitely a must try here.

Paneer tikka which had 5 pieces of paneer and surprisingly had a around 5 slices of tomatoes which was a great surprise considering the price 😂 It was a good option but definitely could be improved. (Some onions were too raw and not grilled enough)

And we ended the meal with mini angoori jamuns which were the best conclusion to the meal. Mildly sweet giving us a melt in mouth experience.

The whole bill came upto 460ish I guess (Don't remember the exact numbers).

Overall an amazing lunch experience after a great dharshanam. Do check them out for when you are around...
