I recently had the pleasure of dining at Barbeque Nation, and it was an experience worth sharing. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff greeted me with genuine smiles and guided me to a cozy table.

The mindset of people hasn’t come back to normal due to the lurking danger out there but having said that, it is high time we move on and patronise the brands which has cheered us in the past.

Today, I ordered my #BarbequeInABox by Barbeque Nation

I was thoroughly impressed right from the delivery till I finished eating the food.

As you could see, my box was delivered safe and secure in a neatly sealed box by the staff who was wearing the max and gloves. No contact delivery method was followed wherein he delivered it from a safe distance. Food arrived on time and the hotness of the food was intact.

What did we get in the box?

The items include but not limited to:

Starters(Non Veg): Marinated Grilled prawns Salacious Chicken Tikka Succulent Lamb Seekh Flamed Grilled Basa

Starters (Veg): Tandoori Grilled Paneer Fried Exotic Veg Patty

Salad: Cucumber/Carrot/Onion salad

Raita: Onion Curd Raita

Mains: Chicken Dum Biryani Masala Luscious Chicken Curry Aromatic Gosht Dal Makhani Parottas

Desserts: Gulab Jamun Phirnee and Gooey Brownie

Taste: Each and every dish tasted really good. Masala was at the right proportion. Chicken was cooked well. None of them were overcooked or burnt. I could not find excessive oil in any of them. Taste was lingering in my mouth fit sometime.

Serving: This box could easily serve 2-3 people.

Do I recommend?

Absolutely. This would be an absolute treat when there is a get together or small parties. As of now I kindly request you to avoid get together but you can always send a box to your family/friend’s home 😌

It's a pretty damn popular place for celebrations and they are done aloud in front of the entire restaurant which could be annoying, but it's still a great place to come and eat a large amount of food. Specially non veg. For a protein rich meal.

1. The Starters - the main deal of bbq nation in every way. The starters are the barbecue , so that’s the speciality. The grilled chicken and fish were tender, fresh and delicious and even the veggie options in pineapple and baby corn are great, apart from paneer soy etc.

and not to forget the non bbq starters. The best starter here is the purely veg Cajun Potatoes. Even a non veg lover would enjoy it thoroughly. And the roasted chicken leg, mutton seekh were also great. Didn’t enjoy their Lucknow special galouti kebab tho

2. onto the main course- this is a buffet. Not so special as compared to any other buffet. Had the Lucknow chicken biryani, Mutton curry and chili chicken but the meat was very dry compared to the starters. Couldn’t eat the meat after tasting the fresh grilled ones. So normally I’d load up on BBQ and minimise the mains. Pasta station is there though, they make good food. Chaat too.

They had the Lucknow Festival going on so got to taste Lucknow Biryani, Galouti Kebab etc which I'd never have dreamt of trying here. But they didn’t impress me.

Overall, the starters would be the best thing here. More starters and less main would be the strategy. Fresher food and then the dessert buffet can be tried out. The buffets are certainly very ordinary. But overall food is definitely decent. And they serve you very attentively....
