Visited for a haircut and hair colour with Karthik, but the experience was far from what I expected from a premium salon.
š¬ I was told that on my previously coloured hair with henna and indigo, the professional colour will not stick/work till henna/indigo pigment goes away completely and a patch test was also done to confirm the same. I was also told that my hair was damaged due to such organic product's application. While I understand that colour pigments may not stick due to earlier henna and indigo use, I disagree with his claim that these ādamageā hair as Iāve used reputed organic brands for years without issues.
šāāļø The haircut was the biggest letdown. I clearly said not to shorten the length but to refresh my look with face-framing and visible variation. The cut took barely 10 minutes, and there was no visible transformation, just a basic layer cut without creativity, which any base stylist could have done. For a āDirectorās Cutā at that price, I expected skill, effort and visible difference.
šāāļø I was also charged ā¹5,000 for a 20-minute Essensuals Spa that was offered casually during the session. The assistant Vijay mentioned it came with the haircut as a whole package, but it was billed separately, taking the total to over ā¹10,000, with no price transparency.
š Karthikās attitude was cold and dismissive throughout. He seemed disinterested and closed conversations quickly, completely opposite to his friendly Instagram persona. Only after feedback via his assistant, Vijay did he suddenly become talkative, but it felt forced.
š« Left the salon with no change, no satisfaction, and an inflated bill. Expected much better professionalism and transparency from a reputed place like Vurve.
Iāll never visit this place again, and I strongly advise others to be cautious, donāt be misled by polished Instagram reels like me; the reel vs real experience here is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am extremely disappointed with my facial treatment today. This was my second visit to this Vurve salon for facial treatments. The first visit was for the Carbon laser treatment with my mum and sister. The doctor was 1 hour late for the appointment. My sister and mum said the treatment made no difference to their skin, though I had some positive feedback.
I visited again today wanting the same treatment, but they explained I had to do another one (which is completely fine). this time, another lady (Hemamalini) administered the hydrafacial. The doctor who helped the first time was there, and as she was leaving the room, she was giving instructions to the lady helping me on how to use the hydrafacial machine(?!) And the lady clearly had little to no experience in using this machine or doing facials. I did not tell the lady, but I have used the same hydrafacial machine multiple times in the past and I've done many different facial treatments, I tried to hint that she was not using it correctly, to no change. She was trying to explain what she was doing but for 4750 rupees, the treatment is so lacking, with most of the time the lady sitting there on her phone while I had a gel face mask on. When she took off the mask from my face I asked if she could reapply suncream (standard practice) before I left the salon. She spent 10 minutes looking for suncream moving in and out of the room. How is it that they don't even have suncream or moisturiser for a hydrafacial treatment? The doctor from last time applied both before I left the salon.
Overall, I am very dissatisfied with the service they delivered today and will NOT recommend facial treatments at this Vurve Salon to anyone who is serious about their facial treatments.
We also had to walk past a construction site and open sewer to get to the salon today, which added to the overall...

To whomsoever it may concern, I had an appointment yesterday in your Nungambakkam branch at 5.30 PM with your stylist Ajay on 3rd Jan 2025. Got follow up calls from this branch whether I will come for the service. I too confirmed that I will be šÆ % available.
Went to the branch by 5 PM and informed the reception that I have an appointment with Ajay for 5.30 PM. I was asked to wait and then I too waited for few mins. By 5.10 a lady came and asked that Ajay is outside and he will only come by 5.30.
Since only 20 mins left, I said I will wait and get the haircut done by 5.30. By 5.15, I saw Ajay entering the salon inside and the lady pulled him outside and told that there is a client waiting with an appointment for 5.30.
For which, he said his previous client came late and he cannot do anything for my appointment. Again the lady comes, checking with me that should I only need Ajay or any other stylist for the haircut. I said, since I need him I got the appointment.
I immediately went to #AnlonSalon which is right opposite to your salon. With no prior appointment, I was treated like a KING š. Did not even waited for 5 mins, got a stylist allocated for me and the service was #topnotch. Man I literally LOVED the service. There is a reason why that salon is buzzing with customers like a bee hive.
IT DOESNāT MATTER WHETHER YOU HAVE 12 BRANCHES WITH 250+ EMPLOYEES. END OF THE DAY IF YOUR SERVICE āSUCKSā THEN YOU GUYS ARE NOTHING AND EQUAL TO āZEROā. KEEP THIS IN YOUR MIND CLEARLY.
Please send your managing partner @manojsamuelt to learn the basic etiquette of customer service along with your staff on effective #TimeManagement. Last but not least, you just lost 1 customer today and many more to come shortly if this is how your...
