I recently had the pleasure of dining at 'OTTOMAN TURKISH BAKLAVA and KUNEFE,' a charming restaurant that specializes in baklava and kunefe. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with the delightful aroma of freshly baked pastries and warm hospitality.
The baklava is a true masterpiece. The layers of phyllo dough were incredibly flaky, and the mixture of nuts and honey was perfectly balanced. Each bite was a burst of flavor and a textural delight. The variety of baklava they offer, from traditional pistachio to unique combinations like chocolate and walnut, was a pleasant surprise.
The kunefe was equally exceptional. Served piping hot, the cheese filling was gooey and delicious, while the crispy, shredded phyllo on top provided a satisfying contrast in texture. The drizzle of rosewater syrup added a subtle floral note that elevated the dish to another level.
What truly sets this restaurant apart is the authenticity of their recipes and the skill of their chefs. You can taste the dedication and passion that go into each dessert. The ambiance was cozy, with a touch of Mediterranean charm, and the staff was friendly and attentive.
If you're a fan of Middle Eastern desserts, Baklava Delights is a must-visit. It's a delightful little gem for anyone seeking an exquisite baklava and kunefe experience in a warm and inviting setting.
I have never given such a 5 star rating to any restaurant this is the first and I...
Read moreWas a huge fan of their baklavas ever since their 'Oven Basket' days when they were operating from their home in ECR. However after they opened their shop at KNK Road, their regular nuts baklava taste and quality has reduced considerably. Nowadays their baklavas are no longer juicy and tasteful like they used to be before. The sugar syrup used is too sweet and the top flakiness has become so dry that the top layer is no longer juicy as it used to be before.
Earlier me and my family members used to have more than one baklava easily at any point of time, but now because it's too sweet we get satiated easily and can't consume more than one. Have visited their shop multiple times but it appears now that this taste is standard and no where close to their old taste. Looks like their Chef who started initially has changed. The only thing now which is somewhat better is their soguk baklavas and to some extent their...
Read moreA place where you can get authentic baklavas and Turkish desserts. All the desserts here are prepared by people from Turkey. Different varieties of baklavas are available on the menu, but availability of them varies each day. Baklavas are prepared with authentic phyllo dough, butter and overloaded with nuts, which can be felt in every bite. The other dessert which I liked the most is the Burma Kidayif, that is similar to Kunafe but without cheese. Their desserts are super sweet. I would recommend it only for those with a sweet tooth. Every order of those who dine in will be served with cut fruits. Each desserts are exorbitantly priced. Located in a key location KNK road and ambience is contemporary and chic. So, you know why the prices are so high. Their restaurant name says Kunefe, but there's no Kunefe on their menu. There are indoor and outdoor seatings available. Parking facility for cars are...
