We are from Chithode and had made a pre-booking at Barbequeen Restaurant today. We called at 12:45 PM to confirm and arrived promptly at 1:20 PM, expecting a smooth dining experience. However, we were immediately told to wait for an hour despite our reservation.

After waiting 30 minutes, we approached the staff again, only to be asked to wait for yet another hour. We showed patience and waited until 3:45 PM, but were shockingly informed that we would need to wait an additional 45 minutes. This entire ordeal was not only extremely frustrating but also reflects the worst customer service we have ever experienced.

Even the most basic courtesies—like offering a glass of water—were completely ignored. The staff were unprofessional, disorganized, and showed no sense of responsibility or respect for their customers’ time. Despite making a confirmed reservation, we were treated as if we were unimportant walk-ins.

Such mismanagement and lack of hospitality are unacceptable for any restaurant claiming to provide quality service. This was not just a disappointment; it was an appalling experience that ruined our day. We will never recommend this place to anyone and will make sure our friends and family are aware of how poorly customers are treated here.

Worst food ever tasted in erode for this kind of a restaurant. Cannot give a 0 star for this. I’ve been to a lot of hotels and dhabas in erode and this is my top worst experience. It’s all nothing but scamming people with ambience and giving low standards in taste and cooking. For the price you pay, even road side shops provide great food with decent hygiene. I don’t find anything great about hygiene in this restaurant as well. We’ve ordered shawarama, al faham, fried rice, popcorn chicken, chicken 555 and we were disappointed every time when a dish arrives. Everything all were either bland (no taste) or very spicy (just chilli powder taste) and horrifying thing is that Plate Shawarma tasted like a chicken gravy 🤮 Popcorn chicken was not even cooked well and chicken in everything felt like rubber pieces. We have complained to the Manager (i hope) about the food and his simple reply was like “we will look into it from next time” when we were actually having the food. He didn’t even tried to replace the food and made sure we regret coming to his restaurant. Sabaash 👏 Even road side shops give better rice and noodles. Lot of good hotels and restaurant are around erode and for the price, it is utter waste of money and ruin of a good evening meal.
