Located on Club Road, this cafe is opposite the newly-opened Miniso. I visited the cafe on a Sunday afternoon to try their offerings. They were just opening up and told me that they will only start service at 4 PM. I was a bit disappointed but decided to look for another place I could try. I checked out the Miniso store, which doesn't seem to have as many items as expected, and when I stepped out of the store I saw that the cafe was open. They had opened for service as another couple had also arrived. It's a cozy space with seven tables inside the cafe and two tables on the veranda next to a Waffle Cart. I wanted to get some shots of the interior so I opted to sit indoors. The outdoor seating does look more inviting. The menu is focused on beverages and snacks which is normal for a cafe. I do feel that the dishes are more Indian-oriented as Continental options were limited to a burger, pasta, garlic bread, and a variety of waffles. I think the waffles are worth trying out, though I wasn't hungry enough to order one when I visited. I ordered a plate of Potato Wedges and a serving of Fried Chicken. They had just opened the cafe, so there was a delay in how long it took for the dishes to be served. The waiters were quite friendly and helpful. That is one of the major differences between Ooty and Coonoor. I've found that most of the restaurants and cafes in Coonoor have better service. I don't know if it's because Coonoor gets fewer tourists. Anyway, coming to the food, the wedges and fried chicken were okay. Nothing spectacular, but cooked and served well. I know I should have tried some of their beverages, but their Lemon Tea was too expensive for my lifestyle. Some of the dishes are on the pricier side, but I guess in cafes you also pay for the ambiance. My bill for two side dishes came to Rs. 364. On the whole, a stylish spot to check out. And Club Road isn't as busy as other streets in Coonoor, so it's a nice location to relax. Oh! I almost forgot - They have a good wireless speaker in the cafe. haha. I should find out which brand it is the next time I visit.
