California Burrito Mexican Kitchen @ VR Mall — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

I have had food from many branches of California Burritos all over Chennai. One thing I noticed is that good quality seem to prevail in all branches. The quantity may slightly vary in branches depending on the packaging and shape of the bowls. The best quantity is actually not here up in VR Mall but in the branch in Phoenix Mall in Velachery where they will give a truly large bowl which is perfect not just for one but for two.

The VR Mall branch is not a standalone but part of food court. The seating is large and humongous. The kitchen and delivery area is a little small. The choice of food is the same like other branches in the city.

The food quality as mentioned above is good. The quantity will be a little less (especially the rice bowl) but it is still big enough for 2 hungry mouths with decent appetite. The salad bowl, the rice bowl and the nachos bowl are my perennial favourite though my son swears by the gigantic Burritos which he says can fill up a very hungry tummy. Have to try that the next time.

The service can improve but the management must ensure top priority for training the staffs. Yes, they are busy like other international chains but giving a smile to the customers will go a long way. They have forgotten to smile and make the customers feel welcome.

The pricing in California Burritos is excellent. Very reasonable for the quality of food offered.

I am not a Mexican food fan but went there for my partner.

The food tasted good, the quantity was filling.

But I came here to laud the service of this person Mr. Viswa. People have to learn hospitality and service culture from this person.

His friendly attitude, patience, and his ability to give information politely felt really warm and welcoming. I am sure he is going to climb the ladder into bigger roles wherever he works.

This might even sound like I am a friend writing a review for him, but I am mentioning it with so much detail because more people have to take care of the work they do this well.

Especially people in service industry have to be polite and patient like Mr. viswa working in California Burrito, in VR Mall.

The burrito taste alright, but the chicken nachos my partner ordered was way better. Best thing about the burrito and the nachos was the quantity. Very filling and felt healthy too.

First time having a dish like this. I ordered bbq chicken burrito ( ₹219 mini) & seeing another guy i took chessy tostada ( ₹89 I think). Seeing size i thought I can eat both full. But nope my stomach was full eating half tostada. For those wondering whether to eat this , definitely u should try their tostada, I would definitely recommend this for family people with kids who want to have heavy dish in limited price like vr mall . For taste comparison i can simply say , it is exactly like eating rajma rice with corn papad . Bbq chicken burrito i took it home as I couldn't eat , but even in chill it tasted yummy to my suprise, it can definitely fill 2 stomach. Really worth the price. They are literally packing like take away. Superb packing. Even I asked shop person to help packing my half eaten tostada he did it with a smile. ₹320 for a 2 meal it is steal. Guys just try tosada first to understand the taste & go according to ur budget. Take water bottle with you. Because I couldn't find any water in that...
