Café Coffee Day — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

So I happen to go to this caffe coffee day at VR mall in Chennai. Being a hot day felt like having a cool drink. They had a guava drink special for the day. It came at around 300 rs and was very disappointing! If you're serving something saying it's a special of the day please put in some kind of effort and ingredients in it! I was served a tall glass of soda ( with absolutely no fizz)and ice ( plenty of it) with a hare hint of guava and a twig of mint! Nonsense yaar ! For almost 300 rs this is not expected. Guava juice/ pulp was put which was at the bottom and a little floating in an ugly manner, I'm very disappointed at how coffee day is cheating it's customers. They took 60 rs extra to make a cup of cappuccino strong... Literally added 60 rs extra when we requested to make the coffee a little strong ! Rs.700 plus change for two drinks ! And that too it was way below expectations. Service is slow. I am skipping this one for sure from next time. There are way too many good options to try than this. Nay...

Absolutely outrageous, the nerve of the employees to boldly say that I can only sit in the cafe for one hour and every time I need to order food to stay here for an extra hour. I was like its a cafe, you come here to work. I told them this isn't something they would do in Starbucks. But they confidently blow my comment away saying that its policy and I should just go to Starbucks if I feel like that. All they're trying to do is make as much money from customers, by pushing out people and making new people spend. Its so ridiculous. Absolutely shocked and was not expecting this kind of behavior in Anna Nagar VR mall of all places. For such a high end place. Have never been treated like this in any other city like Bangalore and especially not in US. This is not what cafe culture is about. Coffee Day, Starbucks they're places to sit and work not being extorted...

Go only if you want to pay more than that's mentioned on their menu! I was in VR mall on a Friday, ordered for a combo. This combo came with a coffee and paneer sandwich for R's 281. The person at the billing tells me my total is R's 345. I asked him what the tax amount was, he said R's 16. Now for anyone who knows math 281+16 is not 345. When enquired he said that's what his system says. We asked his permission to look at this system and guess what. They have been Swindling customers on every order! They don't have an option for combo in the system. The billing is done on original non combo prices, meaning coffee and sandwich are added as separate entry and not as a combo. Customers don't save any money by buying combo. Horrendous. How can CCD swindle customers? On my bill I would have paid them R's 57 extra. Think about how many...
