Chai Kings - Kilpauk — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

Chai kings is a nice concept started in Chennai. There are quite some branches in Chennai. A very nice place for tea lovers. Many types of tea are available- be it black tea or milk tea or even iced tea. I love their lemon tea and sulaimani tea. Usually not very crowded. The space itself is small, can't accommodate more than 10-15 people at the maximum. Chai kings is increasing the eatables available. Previously,it was only snacks like samosa, puffs etc that were available. Now idlis are available, though they don't taste that good. A must-visit place for tea lovers. All types of tea are available in 3 different sizes of cups- small, regular and large. Large cup is really difficult to finish off in one go. Home delivery is available in flasks! These flasks are single use ones that retain warmth till about an hour. There are a few options available for 'cool' items- like iced tea, chocolate shakes etc. Orders are delivered pretty fast. Chai King shops are air conditioned. There are not many chairs available, so you may have to stand and have your tea. Cookies are available. Simple and a nice concept. A definite boon for tea lovers. Not being expensive is an additional plus point. The timing of closing at night varies between the different branches. The one at kilpauk is open till about 10.30. Really wish there was such an economic place to have nice types of coffee. Bcoz most of coffee shops are so expensive. Maybe chai kings can start a chain of "coffee kings"! If there was an option for zero stars, I’d have picked that without a second thought. I was patiently waiting for my previous orders to be completed, but the waiter handling ignored me completely and moved on to the next person. Just when I was ready to place my order, he told me to wait, only to immediately take the next person’s order without hesitation.

I couldn’t stay silent. I stepped out, clearly expressing my frustration to the waiter. This kind of treatment is unacceptable. It’s a terrible customer experience, and honestly, it reflects poor management. If things were run properly, this wouldn’t have happened.

The person working there especially local person is not behaving properly . I had worst experience today around 7pm in this shop.i ordered one ginger tea and two lemon tea and one veg puf and the puf was not heated he just like that cut into two pieces and gave it immediately and the same is not advisable to eat and when I asked the billing person who is dark had behaved in a rude manner and didn't give proper explanation. My amount got waste ie 21 Rs apart from that the same is not hygienic.
