Hotel Abu Palace — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

We had my daughter's first birthday here couple of months back for 150 members. I and Abu palace go way back for more than 25 years while they were through multiple managements. It had its ups and downs but I was happy to experience that the hotel if not to keep up with the leaders, it still stands out. Mr.Balaji and Mr.Raja of banquets were very responsive, responsible and respectful of everything. They were very knowledgeable with respect to conducting the banquets, catering and decorations. Although decorations were outsourced, they oversaw everything. They were very accomodating with several menu customisation and reasonable on the tariff as well. The food is another great topic. We originally had a preference and Mr.Balaji helped with food tasting and suggested few improvement which we happily accepted. The vegetarian was not all that great but the non vegetarian items were amazing. He knew what fish to use and what pairing would be great. Everything was arranged well but as any event would face, there were few minor hiccups but that was ok. The staff in general were very hospitable. I am aware there are few unpleasant reviews but trust me. Keep an open mind and be flexible and you will definitely enjoy the hotel and most definitely it's food.

This is the second time in 15 months that I had held a family banquet. Let me start with the best part. Chef Ahilan is the best. He knows how to cook and serve it at the right temperature and freshness. Both the times it was a mixed menu and their Mutton Biriyani and Masala fried fish is absolutely the best. The next awesome thing is their hall. It was constructed in a generic format but perfect for any set up or decoration. They have an in-house contractor for decoration, slightly pricy but worth it since they had been experienced for decades including cine sets. The third best thing is the Parking. The hotel can accommodate 100 cars, what more is needed?. But over and above all of this, the banquet management team Mr.Boobesh and Mr.Raja are perfect. I personally owe a lot to Mr.Raja since he is one of the most professional, diligent and responsibile banquet professional I had ever dealt with. Both the times his service was absolutely amazing. Basically he made our events happen perfectly. I will definitely host many more future events here as well....

I stayed in the hotel for a night during my official trip last week, this is the worst hotel I had ever stayed till now. To start with as soon as step into the premises you will be suprised and start thinking is the hotel Open or Closed. The CheckIn process was swift, as soon as I stepped into the room, the room smells and the bathroom was dirty. I requested for an other room, the staff was courteous enough to show me three rooms however all 3 are almost in same condition and I have to pick one of them. The room floor was sticky and dirty, the rest room stinks and the floor sticks the tables in the room are dirty. However u can see cockroaches everywhere accompanying you. Pleased some pics of the room and rest room taken last week. Overall, NOT a place to stay and never recommend...

As per name of your hotel Experience was pathetic, you need to make sure you say to your customer when they do booking with you on call about your renovation going on lot of dust inside and outside. Your hotel seriously need to do pest control cockroaches all there in your restaurant on the table in your serving buffet table it’s so unhygienic that you are not able to have your breakfast as you see it, worst food quality no one can eat your food tasteless you guys need to change your chef no one is there to answer you properly when say something or ask something in the restaurant. As I am travelling every month to Chennai from ages I have never went through this type of service never ever would come back here again and recommend...
