Visited this restaurant many times in childhood as if like once in every 15 to 20 days.
Ambience: Atmosphere of the hotel in the past was too good and it is silent. But the restaurant is under renovation for more than 3 months and it has to speed up as it may not be pleasant to people's eye.
Food: In the past , i used to have both north and south indian dishes at this place. But my interest has been changed to south indian food only at this place. May be the taste of north indian foods at other restaurants has better taste than at this place. They need to work on improving the taste of the food. The good thing about this place is that it serves both North and south indian foods. But as we talk about the south indian food, its good that it is able to maintain its taste for more than 15years and still its competent to most of the south indian tiffin restaurants. The taste of the sambar is delicious.
Overall food taste is good but it need to improve the North indian food taste so that people may prefer this place than other restaurants.
Service: The service provided by the staff was ok. But it is confusing which waiter needs to tale order and who has to bring foods .
Location: Situated in main road , easy to locate and has good parking facility
Price: The price of the food is moderate.
Overall experience was ok. But need to work on infrastructure as the place is spacious but with less seats. If the seat arrangement is done properly, people need not waste time in waiting for the seats. Also to work on the taste of north...
Read moreI selected this hotel on my Chennai trip based on all the previous reviews, but I am sorry to say that almost everything about the hotel turned out just the opposite of what was said about it. We were by 'greeted?' by a very arrogant elderly man who made us feel like we just entered a police station. I had never ever faced such an irritating person in the reception of a hotel, his behaviour was offensive and many a times insulting. Dont know whether he is an employee or the owner himself, but whatever, it seemed like he had forgotten his daily drug dose. The only reason I didnt walkaway from there was because I was with my wife, I was already pissed off by the Chennai auto drivers and it was early in the morning. We had booked a double bed ac room. The room was spacious, but the roof had a leak. The AC and hot water systems were fine enough, but the bathroom fittings were all leaking and I had to personally fix the health faucet myself (cant let the job at hand unfinished right ?!) Well, late in the day, the lady in the reception was courteous enough, and I was relieved that i dont have to face the other guy again. There is a restaurant inside; food was fair enough but definitely not extraordinary. The main USP of the hotel is its nearness to major landmarks of the city. Otherwise there is nothing great about this hotel.... and if they are not throwing that guy in the reception away they will lose many more...
Read moreThis is one of the terrible hotel experience that i ever had in my life, While entering the receptionist is so rude and yelling at us saying we don't accept OYO booking tarrif has changed. We had to pay him directly and avail room. Floor stinks so bad like you can't stay in the floor for a minute. It's kinda very old hotel built 30-40 years ago. AC won't work, there is TV but no connection. No water provided. No room service, no brush and soaps. Room smells so bad. Beds give you back pain in 2 hours. No one answers your call if you have any requirement of emergency. No complimentary breakfast. Bathroom is so bad and poorly maintained. No cleanliness, and you smell cigerette everywhere. I suggest to take a walk and look for another hotel as there are many hotels nearby but not available on Google search and i got fooled by the image they added thinking it is some kinda good and nice hotel. They...
