Chai n' Gupshup The Tea Lounge — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

On my 2nd day in coimbatore, I went hunting for this place cos if there are 2 things I love - it's tea and a cosy place that serves tea. Since the reviews were so fantastic, I dragged my husband here for a few cups of tea and snacks. We were super excited with the list of teas. Despite our better judgment we ordered Tulsi Adrak and mint Adrak Chai. The tea was very milky and the flavors didn't just blend well with the milk. Certain leaves aren't meant to be mixed with milk. So for our second cup we ordered regular Adrak chai, which turned out to be a disappointment again. The Bombay sandwich we ordered was a few sparse veggies placed between two slices of toasted/grilled bread. Dabeli was just about okay. Finally we ordered dahi bhel which was the only saving grace of the whole order.

As for the ambience, yes it's cosy and quite nice but there is a lot of room for improvement. The waiters were alright. They did their job.

A few days later we discovered a place that sells good tea and started frequenting that place for the rest of our trip.

I don't understand why this place has such fantastic reviews. Is it because of the lack of hang out spots...

I had read reviews about this place and decided to visit . Firstly when I entered the place was dripping with water near the door .

Choose a seat right under the ac water was dripping on the sofa and none had noticed to clean it .

Asked to clean the table . The housekeeping brought in a more wet towel to clean the table and the sofa with the same cloth making it even more wet to be seated . Best part asked for the menu card and it was thrown right on the table . Without any courtesy for the customers. And also the response was way to low . Post asking twice the table was cleaned making it more wet and the menu card was thrown on the table .

Which made me leave the place that instance .

When asked for the manager and reported this attitude . The manager said call the the owner and update and he does not know anything , And does not want to give an assurance to the customer to address the issue .

If I have to call the owner and speak to address issues like this .. then why does the chai and gupshup needs a...

If you are looking for an best cafe as well as good administration and giving satisfaction level to the customer then this would be the best enough because I have placed an order in Swiggy but on that time the order item has not available so I decided to cancel the order but the manager called me and ask apology for the unavailable item I will send the complimentary food for that you try and after the items available you can place the order I will send through rapido so I said okie same they have send an complimentary food I tasted and that was soo good the manager way of taking care the customer is extremely happy because manager decided not to spoil our mood by saying cancel there is no...
