Route 99 Cafe — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

My wife and I went to this shop to spend some time outside and relax but this shop gave us the worst experience. The tea master was so rude, I ordered 2 ginger teas and paid, I waited outside at the counter, we were two people standing and he gave 2 teas first, I asked shall I take it. Tea master told whoever wanted to take it, take it. I told the other guy to take it. Later I took my tea and went to my place, later I found it is normal tea not ginger tea. I went and asked him, he said I ordered normal tea in a rude manner, then he told another person also order tea why you took it with his rude face, but there was no one when I took the tea, then this another guy came, he told the tea master that he also ordered ginger tea, they were arguing and tea master is showing his rude face again to me.

A girl on the cash counter and A person on the juice counter convinced me and my wife but we don't want to be there, so we left with our cash returned.

I am not giving a food rating as we didn't taste anything.

I've been to this cafe almost thrice in a week for a snack or tea. Ambience and facilities are good. Food tastes good. Few things to note though: serving food to customers, if it is tea they won't serve. Customer have to get it. If it is sandwich or something they will serve it to your table. Either serve everything or keep it as self service. Price is bit at higher rate for foods. Like sandwich it cost 150+ even veg also bit higher. Pretty packed in evening makes us wait for long time than expected. So if we plan to have quick bite it will take atleast 20mins to reach you. Add more people in kitchen. Take token system to serve the food to plate. No rest room.

If you don't mind spending 50 mins for a panner wrap then this cafe is for you. The atmosphere is good but what to do with just the atmosphere if they take 50 mins for a panner wrap, 40 mins for a panner sandwich and 25 mins for a bread omlet , the food we ate was BAD , overpriced food. WARNING do skip this cafe and find another good cafe or restaurant even if you are hungry DONT GO HERE. 130₹ for a panner sandwich - VERY BAD 120₹ for a wrap - waited for 50 mins and still didn't taste it 50₹ for a bread omlet...
