If one is not particular about basic hygiene please skip the review. Else please read on.
The so called air-conditioned section has nothing more than a non functioning machine with fans on full blast.
The tables are crowded with no sense of distancing forget social distancing.
The staff are downright rude for reasons I couldn’t understand. Perhaps they think customers have no choice
The waiter wears a blue coloured glove on the right hand and uses the same gloved hand to open the door to the kitchen, the table (which is cleaned with a cloth that may have been washed last month), the food you ordered and the folder that has the bill for what you ate. While this is a common sight across restaurants the fact that a reasonably known chain doesn’t train its staff or insists it’s staff maintain basic hygiene is a let down
The person who cleans the tables uses a wet cloth that may have been washed last month. He pushes the solid food particles from the table to the floor. I wonder if the powers that be have thought of training these staff on how to hygienically clean a table
This restaurant chain and another (that shall not be named now 😀) started the trend of 10g idli, 20g dosa or poori and 90g or 80g chutney. Don't believe me? Measure them and you'll see I'm not far off the mark
Staple South Indian fare is what's served in this outlet but with some creativity such as a podi dosa which is nothing but dosa laced with spicy powder. While a normal dosa costs ~₹50, the powdered variety costs 30% more for example. They also serve naan bread and other North Indian fare but I didn't and wouldn't order these. Why? Simple. It's not their strength
The idli, vadai, podi dosa and poori masala tasted okay. They had better for the price paid 🙁 but the portion sizes make you order more items if hungry. Seems a money making strategy as portion sizes in other states are far larger and at lower or similar prices
If you're not from this state be aware their pricing of dishes varies by location
I don't know if anyone has noticed but in all their outlets the spoons are smaller than dessert spoons. I wonder if this is a strategy to regulate the intake of the accompaniments such as sambar 🤔
There isn't an ambience worth mentioning, the outlet is noisy with focus on footfalls. Don't expect personalised service or a smile from the service crew. Their job is to take your order, deliver the item super quick, get your bill and prepare the table for the next customer
I'd go there, not for a value meal, but for food served impersonally costing more than it should, by staff who are...
Read more(20/01/2024- afternoon) I went to get takeaway only 1 item, veg biryani, to my surprise it had zero 0 vegetables in it, except 3 pieces of small tomato. I was hungry so didn't call the restaurant and give feedback. I buy frequently from here. On previous occasions, I have bought paneer or mushroom biryani as well,
Excellent neat well arranged seating and ambience.Delicious food.Courteous service esp Mr Rona from W Bengal 😊We felt pity that he has left his family and travelled down south so far to earn his bread 😞But he appears cheerful and serves with care .South Indian Thali with large appalam, “More” kulambu Radam Chana Sundal Poricha koottu, Rotis , Raw rice Curd and Semiya Payasam tasted very delicious. This far , very good 👍 But when I went to rest room, the water in the flush was so dirty dark brown 😩I initially thought the previous user has t flushed. But to my horror I realized the water in the tap too was flowing out with bad odor 😱 The pleasure of tasty lunch got damaged by this horrible experience in the rest room☝️ I appeal to Sangeetha ; management ; please take immediate remedial actions to rectify this menace at once . Having lived in Dubai 10 years and patronized Sangeetha in Dubai , Sharjah & Abudhabi , I feel shocked to see the status of affairs in Chennai . Please I appeal to you , sirs, kindly correct this...
