Saravana Bhavan - Saligramam — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

Awesome food with some bitter experience.

The food we had was superb in this Porur Saravana Bhavan. We had the food in AC hall.

While the food was awesome, the small behavior of the staff made things go bad.

We 5 of us sat in a table. So, the table is filled with initial serving of plates. When the next set of ordered items came, no one cleared the existing empty plates in our table, so we ourselves tried to rearrange the empty plates so as to accommodate the new serving plate. In this process of rearranging empty plates, we made a mistake and a glass with full of water fell on our of us and the water spilled on our dresses.

The waiter just stood there watching us. No one came forward to cleanup the mess or to help us. After feeling more discomfort due to wetness, we asked them shall we change the table. They said OK and went off. We took all the plates and started moving to next empty table. No one offered to help us even though there are more than 5 waiters just simply standing in every corner of that hall.

We even didn't get the water in the new table. We just had the food, paid the bill and left.

Just a bit of care from this restaurant chain would have made us...

Terrible service. To start with Only one person to take order and 2 to serve. Starter without plates nor cutliery came first before the soup and one of the soup was forgotten. Bread came with one side dish while two was ordered and the other side dish chilli Baby corn gravy(very very watery) which was not so good in taste as well came almost when we had finished the bread (had to adjust with whatever side dish was brought first, after being frustrated of waiting and delivered food on table going cold). The briyani looked and tasted pathetic and was ready made, was not hot and felt it was prepared in the afternoon.suprised it labelled as spl. Veg briyani, wondering what's so spl about it, probably so special that one won't get a worst briyani than this anywhere else. The entire main dish we had to eat on the plates of the previous dish delivered as no main plates where provided.Given that there where only two waiters for the entire AC area had to wait for every single serve/call. The table besides us were cribbing abt the same as well.HSB isn't what HSB...

Purely visited this place out of old nostalgia.

Visited the hotel few days back. Non - Ac dine in ,not open. Only Ac dine in. The washroom was pathetic and worst than a public toilet. Nothing to say about the ambience , worst for the kind of money they loot. Took pure 20 mins to take the order and another 20 mins to serve a Pongal and vadai. Gave the order for ghee roast, when the delivered the Pongal, to the table. Ghee roast came after several follow ups, another 20 mins later. Bill didn't come for another 15 mins, has to go to the cash counter , took the bill and paid an exorbitant amount ( DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THE TASTE, QUALITY)

AVOID AVOID AVOID Avoid this place at all expenses. It's pure cheating and robbery in day light.

Have been fan of this place once upon a time. Now only AC, full of flies, pathetic food and pathetic service. Hygiene is zero, bill amount not worth it. Will not recommend this place. And will not come again. This place has to be reported with food safety officer...
