Very worst experience, I went to have dinner with my family tdy(7sep/2025) ordered one ghee kara dosa, one plain dosa , coffee and a panner manchurian dry.. The batter of the dosa was too much of sour and instead of adding spicy Karam on the dosa they've spread a tomato paste on it which is very very tangy in taste and not appetizing at all..,they shouldn't have given me that..!!and the paneer was also very hard and sticky but they charged (285rs) for that which is not at all fair.. heavy pricing..total bill amount is (615rs)
See we are coming to hotel saravana bhavan because of the brand name but you guys whoever is taking care of this (kanchipuram branch) are ridiculously spoiling the name of the hotel.. Just to mention you guys., When the founder Mr.Rajagopalan was there the authenticity and the taste would be on a next level but after his demise please don't spoil his name if you dare to do so remove the brand name whomsoever it may be own the hotel now..

Read moreSaravana Bhavan has long been a name synonymous with quality South Indian food, a reputation that has unfortunately begun to fade over the years. My recent visit for a simple takeaway order was a stark reminder that the brand's customer service and operational efficiency have severely deteriorated. The first thing that strikes you upon entering is the complete lack of crowd management. The atmosphere is chaotic, with no clear system for handling dine-in and takeaway customers, leading to a frustrating and disorganized experience for everyone. My intention was to grab a quick takeaway meal, but the reality was anything but. I was made to wait for an astonishing 30 minutes for a basic meal option. This excessive delay is simply unacceptable for a takeaway order. By the time the food was finally ready, it had already lost its freshness and heat right there in the restaurant. The very essence of enjoying a hot, well-prepared meal was gone before I even had a chance to leave. What's more concerning is the general lack of basic etiquette from the staff. There's a noticeable absence of professionalism in how they handle customers. The experience leaves you feeling like just another number in a crowd, rather than a valued patron.
Saravana Bhavan's management urgently needs to invest in training their crew. The staff needs to be equipped with the skills to manage crowds efficiently and interact with customers respectfully. Until they prioritize the customer experience and ensure that every visit feels worthy of the money spent, this legendary name will continue to lose its...
Read more⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ I had a lovely dining experience at Saravana Bhavan Restaurant, located within the premises of MM Hotels. The ambiance is neat, clean, and pleasant—perfect for a relaxed meal.
The food was absolutely delicious—still mouthwatering as I write this! I tried their Mini Sambar Idly, Rava Dosa, and ended it with a cup of authentic South Indian Filter Coffee. The coffee was served in a traditional brass dabara set, and the waiter even mixed and served it in front of me, bringing back nostalgic memories of olden times. Truly a delightful touch!
They also offer a variety of snacks and quick bites. Since I was staying at MM Hotels, I had the convenience of having dinner here. The portion sizes were good, and the menu had nice options to choose from.
A small suggestion: it would be great if they could introduce South Indian meals during dinner, as I noticed many Andhra guests were requesting it.
As for the service, the staff were courteous and wore warm smiles. However, one minor lapse was that water wasn’t served until I finished my dinner. This is something that could be improved.
Overall, a great dining spot with authentic taste and a traditional feel. Will definitely recommend and...
