⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ I had a lovely dining experience at Saravana Bhavan Restaurant, located within the premises of MM Hotels. The ambiance is neat, clean, and pleasant—perfect for a relaxed meal. The food was absolutely delicious—still mouthwatering as I write this! I tried their Mini Sambar Idly, Rava Dosa, and ended it with a cup of authentic South Indian Filter Coffee. The coffee was served in a traditional brass dabara set, and the waiter even mixed and served it in front of me, bringing back nostalgic memories of olden times. Truly a delightful touch! They also offer a variety of snacks and quick bites. Since I was staying at MM Hotels, I had the convenience of having dinner here. The portion sizes were good, and the menu had nice options to choose from. A small suggestion: it would be great if they could introduce South Indian meals during dinner, as I noticed many Andhra guests were requesting it. As for the service, the staff were courteous and wore warm smiles. However, one minor lapse was that water wasn’t served until I finished my dinner. This is something that could be improved. Overall, a great dining spot with authentic taste and a traditional feel. Will definitely recommend and visit again!

Worst quality of food ugly utensils. 1. On searching for hand wash, it looks like public toilet. Please see the picture attached. It's too ugly and smells bad. 2. Before ordering, they kept the old stainless steel tumblers and poured water. All the glasses were ugly and having oil & washing stains. We asked to wash and keep again. 3. Then We ordered Saravana SPL virunthu meals. It came in usual style. The rice served was so not good. It's bold and not boiled properly. It cannot be consumed after first serve. Even in the first serve itself, we left quarter of the amount. While eating in the half way, we understood Applam and chips were missing. After reminding, they are serving. 4. After all, we thought of having ice Cream which comes along with the meals. The ice cream served in the steel cup is so pathetic. On seeing the cup, dark oil stains were sticking. On seeing this, we lost our temper. On asking the server, they are saying it's quite normal in steel utensils. 5. Water served also looking like tap water. i feel ashamed in front of my family since i offered lunch here. I don't know why Saravanan bhavan overall quality becomes so worst. Here after I'll never step into this ugly hotel.

Food Review – Saravana Bhavan (Vegetable Brinji Rice) I recently ordered Vegetable Brinji Rice from Saravana Bhavan, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. Taste & Quality: The taste was extremely poor — overly spicy, with too much powdery masala. The flavour was so bad that I couldn’t even eat a single spoon. Honestly, even roadside food costing just ₹30 tastes far better and is more enjoyable. Hygiene & Packaging: The parcel room area was not clean and didn’t feel hygienic. Food was packed in low-quality plastic, which is unsafe and unprofessional. Staff hygiene was questionable, and overall cleanliness was missing. Value for Money: I was charged ₹200, but the food was not worth even ₹5. Completely overpriced for the quality served. Overall Experience: Food taste: 0/10 Hygiene: 0/10 Value for money: 0/10 Overall rating: ⭐ (Very very Poor) 👉 I strongly advise people not to waste your money here. The food and hygiene standards are far below expectations. Roadside eateries serve much better food at a fraction of the price. I ve lost and wasted my money

Very worst experience, I went to have dinner with my family tdy(7sep/2025) ordered one ghee kara dosa, one plain dosa , coffee and a panner manchurian dry.. The batter of the dosa was too much of sour and instead of adding spicy Karam on the dosa they've spread a tomato paste on it which is very very tangy in taste and not appetizing at all..,they shouldn't have given me that..!!and the paneer was also very hard and sticky but they charged (285rs) for that which is not at all fair.. heavy pricing..total bill amount is (615rs)

See we are coming to hotel saravana bhavan because of the brand name but you guys whoever is taking care of this (kanchipuram branch) are ridiculously spoiling the name of the hotel.. Just to mention you guys., When the founder Mr.Rajagopalan was there the authenticity and the taste would be on a next level but after his demise please don't spoil his name if you dare to do so remove the brand name whomsoever it may be own the hotel now..

I want to express few words in tamil as well,

*Quality Magaa mattam..,oru paneer manchurian dry ku 285rs charge pandringa aprom yenda ungalaala olunga kudukka mudiyala..full haa corn flour maava pottu rubber mare irundhuchu..ketta adhu apdithan irukkum nu vera solringa.. Ghee kara dosa nu order panna yedho thakkaliya pottu oreeyy pulippu plus dosayayum karikki yeduthuttu varinga..actually ghee kara dosa na karamathanae irukkanum...

Thayavu senju (Mr.Rajagopalan) avaroda paera kedukaadhinga..avaru irundhappo saravana bhavan dosa um oru coffee um avlo nalla irukkum but Ipo yennadaana andha brand name ha mattum vechuttu romba worst quality food tharinga.. Seriously hotel saravana bhavana ha thookittu vera name change panninganna andha manusanukku neenga seira oru periya punniyam...,pls don't spoil his reputation and the brand.

If anyone from the management seeing this review please do take serious action on this issue...

Saravana Bhavan has long been a name synonymous with quality South Indian food, a reputation that has unfortunately begun to fade over the years. My recent visit for a simple takeaway order was a stark reminder that the brand's customer service and operational efficiency have severely deteriorated. The first thing that strikes you upon entering is the complete lack of crowd management. The atmosphere is chaotic, with no clear system for handling dine-in and takeaway customers, leading to a frustrating and disorganized experience for everyone. My intention was to grab a quick takeaway meal, but the reality was anything but. I was made to wait for an astonishing 30 minutes for a basic meal option. This excessive delay is simply unacceptable for a takeaway order. By the time the food was finally ready, it had already lost its freshness and heat right there in the restaurant. The very essence of enjoying a hot, well-prepared meal was gone before I even had a chance to leave. What's more concerning is the general lack of basic etiquette from the staff. There's a noticeable absence of professionalism in how they handle customers. The experience leaves you feeling like just another number in a crowd, rather than a valued patron.

Saravana Bhavan's management urgently needs to invest in training their crew. The staff needs to be equipped with the skills to manage crowds efficiently and interact with customers respectfully. Until they prioritize the customer experience and ensure that every visit feels worthy of the money spent, this legendary name will continue to lose its...
