The Village Hotel — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

As the name says it all, the Village restaurant is something that will bind you with its ultimate delicacies of South Indian food. Located downtown, near Brookefields surrounded by the avenues of Flower market, RS puram and Gandhipark, this place is a scenic beauty. Eating out in Coimbatore is no longer so expensive thanks to restaurants of this kind. They take bookings, table reservations, number of people, the dishes they prefer etc. The taste that "Village" always reminds you that of our own grandmthers' recipes: thakkali kolambu of Kongu origin, the tomato brinjal (egg plant) bajji (which is not actually a bajji of vada bonda kind but a sauce-like semi fluid), the multi-coloured chutneys: White (coconut chutney), Green (mint or Corriander chutney), red (Tomato chutney), Pale yellow (Garlic chutney) etc. This place also flaunts recreational equipments for children, toddlers and petty shops that sell bangles, rings and all other...

Enroute to bus stand with a very little time, we entered this restaurant for a quick dinner. Parking was in a open ground opposite side and walkable distance. When I entered I was surprised to see a big hall fully crowded and the walls of restaurant had various advertisements glittering. First time I'm seeing a restaurant having display boards in the dining area. Ordered for butter onion sevai & Adai dosai, romali rotti, mushroom dosai very good in taste. I'm not sure how the waiters keep note of the dishes served and give the bills in such a huge place where people are coming & going. The dosa's are tasty and soft and with chutney and sambar tastes great. The service of the staff has to be mentioned specially since they attend everyone with a smile. I had dinner from the Village Restaurant with my friend. The rate was very reasonable and this restaurant is good to dine with family...

The Village is An Advertisement Factory rather than a Hotel to Hangout...

I was in a bit confusion why the peoples have named their hotel as "The Village" which is nowhere connected to the purpose....

Good Lighting with around 15 to 16 tables with 4 PAX per Table allowed....

Turn Around Time is about 15Min... Pls plan the main course while ordering the starter to get ontime....

Affordable price ... As we had 13 items from the menu which billed Rs/686.

Con: Menu without Pricetag, budget peoples will have a good blow... No private space for Couples.... No AC Dining No Fresh Juices for Dieters.. Vegetarian friendly (Only Enga for Non Veggies) No Child...
