I recently visited Udupi Sri Durga Vilas in Nanganallur and had a satisfying experience overall. The food here is undeniably delicious and of high quality. I tried the Pongal, Poori set, and Vadai, all of which were well-prepared and flavorful. The Pongal was particularly filling, with just two servings being enough to satisfy my appetite. The filter coffee was also a delightful end to the meal, offering the authentic taste that South Indian coffee lovers cherish.

Had a odd experience at this place today.. the food me and my dad had was Idli, Chapati and Poori at night, Chapati and Poori were really good, hot and tasty. But idly was hot but not good it was hard, the top layer of idly was expanding seemed like stale. We suggested to the manager/owner that it was not good and their practice of storage of the idli too keep them hot was wrong. The owner instard of taking it as suggestion or saying will either improve, he started arguing with my dad causing a scene, It was not the first occasion we observed the fact about idly being not good though it was one off a event. Because it happened again as a customer we pointed it out to the owner he turned against instead of taking a suggestion. Felt really bad so i pulled my dad out and walked away.. will update if the idly ever improves!! If you ever felt the same about anything else please let the manager & update here as well. The legendary outlet of Nanganallur that has stood over time in a neighborhood where eateries wind their business in the same phase as they're inaugurated. Have tried almost all their dishes and I'm hardly left with anything new to try. The old hotel type is situated on 1st floor and there's separate counter for getting parcels. The dining hall could seat around 25-30 at a time and the service is okayish types only. Suggest you to try their set dosa vadacurry, ghee dosa, medu vada, thayir and sambar vada, sambar rice, beetroot halwa, chole batura, parotta varieties and wash up your meal the classic way with filter coffee or with beetroot halwa if avl.
