Weekend and Independence Day special lunch at Mandi House Shamshabad

I was at Mandi House on 15th August for a special lunch with my friends. This place is really good and impressive, they have a separate family section as well.

Let's talk about food; it was a long time since we didn't have Mandi so we started with their special Zurbiyan Mandi. It's basically mutton zurbiyan mandi. Perfectly cooked with flavourful rice and soft and tender mutton, this was the best mandi I had in a while. And it is their special dish so you must try. It's costs just ₹1100 and 6 to 7 members can easily have it.

Then we had Afghani Chicken Mandi, this was the second best mandi at Mandi House. The chicken was well marinated and cooked to perfection.

Then we ordered prawns mandi where the base was so perfect guys the rice which they are serving is the best and prawns mandi was tasty to have.

Then we had faham mandi and mutton mandi, both were amazing in taste and quality was also good. This normally 3 to 4 person can easily have.

Then one more best veg mandi they have, manchurian mandi. If you are a veg lover then you can have this.

Time for dessert! Because lunch is incomplete without it. Here we had kunafa and kheer.

Kunafa was perfect here because kunafa can't be made perfect by everyone, here it was perfect. And kheer was also good to end our lip smacking lunch.

The service here is good, and it was crowded on 15th August.

Located in Shamshabad, this place is easy to locate. They have two tier seating on ground floor and first floor. We preferred the first floor as it had better lighting for taking pics :) This place can accommodate approximately 80-100 people.

The service was prompt, the waiter had good knowledge and was proactive and providing us with cutlery needed without even having to ask for it.

We tried a couple of mandis here and the top pick was Mutton Zurbian Mandi. This was very juicy and the meat was falling off the bone and properly cooked. The rice and meat complimented each other very well and made us want more. This one mandi can be sufficient for 5 good eaters. The next mandi we tried was Chicken Afghani Mandi which was again well marinated chicken put on a bed of Mandi rice. Really loved the flavours in this one and how well the chicken was marinated. Among desserts, we tried their Kunafa which was a major hit among our entire group. This Kunafa was unlike everything I tried before. So, a definite recommendation.

There have been many Arabian restaurants which have mushroomed in the city from last decade and very few maintain the consistency . Recently found a new place which is just before the Shamshabad Airport . Has two levels of seating with both sit in and sit down . Ambience is pretty decent and has seperate family dining section . Was here to try the Mutton Zurbian which is their signature special . The meat was very tender, succulent and had good quality of mutton . Even the quantity was very good . The rice was amde with the broth and you can feel the softness of it when you chew along with dry fruits . Overall for Rs 1100 it's very amazing and is sufficient for 6 good eaters ..

They do have different types of mandi serving for different tastes of people. Yes there is vegetarian mandi as well . The kunafa was realy nice here , I liked it very much as it was not very sweet .
