McDonald's — Restaurant in Thane

This McDonald's brand new outlet has been opened recently at the Korum Mall. It's located one level below the ground level. This makes it a bit inconvenient for customers to visit it, as they have to take the escalator or the elevator to go down. I reckon the footfalls would be much higher, had it been on the ground level or level 3 which is the food court.

On a Sunday, around 1 pm, the outlet was thinly populated. Maybe the high footfalls are there in the evenings only.

Even before you enter the outlet, you are bound to be impressed! A key differentiator of this outlet is that it has touchscreen kiosks at the entrance itself, to browse the menu, place your order and even a card swiping machine to make payment. All this, without visiting the cash counters! But someone from among the store staff will anyway assist you with navigating the kiosk.

Of course, the outlet has manned cash counters too.

Secondly, unlike some McD outlets, this one has seating arrangements, albeit somewhat limited. The outlet itself is not that small, so maybe they could have provided more tables and chairs. But the outlet has good interiors.

After placing my order, I happened notice a flyer at the outlet, which mentioned offering a free burger on orders placed on the McDonald's app. Now I wish the staff had informed me of the same, before I placed my order! So technically I lost my free burger!

But as such, the store staff is quite friendly. One Ms. Pooja from the staff was quite helpful to us, and helped us sort out our queries. I hope this friendliness is not on account of the outlet being new and that the staff will always remain this friendly to customers.

The rates of Small Hot Chocolate (@ Rs125 + GST) appear to be on the higher side. The McAloo tikki is the most reasonably priced item, priced at Rs38 + GST.

Korum Mall's Macdonalds are worst, the lady who is taking order don't even care for the term hospitality, nowadays many of us specially foodie like us like to collect the points whenever we visit and have meals, today for the same the lady out there when I told her kindly scan & add the points for what I have ordered, she said you should have told us before order, the same thing when we were at Majiwada outlet they asked after placing, the point is that korum mall Mcd lady knew as she saw I was handling smartphone for the same & cash in hand, & she didn't even cared to just cancel & redo the meal of 2 which would cost her max 10 sec, simply said earlier you should have & done, I was tired to argue & just slashed cash on desk.

Why such small issue we're writing over here & investing my time, the reason is point or money are never the centre of any argument here, it was how they treat & feel for the customer.

Been thousands of time to mcd, but first time facing this kind of service we even know her name but don't wanna do public. On the other hand the serving staff are so good only beacuse of them we are giving +2 star, don't know why those order taking staff feel high to the sky.

This latest McDonalds is an exclusive full fledged cafe located at the ground level of Korum mall and has access from the outside as well as the inner section besides Star Bazar.

The cafe has a good feel and ambiance and is much better than being located at the food courts of various other malls.

One of the best things about this place is that the opening time is at around 7am which makes it all the more easy to have their famous breakfast items !

The cafe has ample seating and quick service with all the regular fares on menu as well as the latest offers and items.

Apart from the usual burgers one can have all their coffees, shakes and non-caffeine beverages.

Their freshly ground coffee in any form is very good indeed especially hot cafe Mocha which has thick foam topped with delicious chocolate sauce.

Not to be missed is their Iced Coffee which is a fantastic combination of espresso, cold water, condensed milk and topped with lots of ice cubes.

If you love hot chocolate then definitely worth trying is their rich decadent Gourmet Hot Chocolate.

Overall it’s a nice place to enjoy your cuppa or food away from the hustle and bustle of the rest...
