If I could give negative stars, I absolutely would. We were misled by the good reviews, but our experience here was nothing short of a disaster.
The seating process was completely disorganized, and the staff seemed overwhelmed and unprepared to manage the crowd. While we expected a wait, things went downhill rapidly after we were seated.
We patiently waited for a server and clearly instructed them to serve the appetizers first, followed by the entrées after a few minutes. Despite this, only the entrées were brought out after a 15-minute wait — and they were cold. The biryani wasn’t even lukewarm, and the meat was tough and dry like it had been sitting out for hours.
To make things worse, I found a large piece of plastic in my food that resembled dental floss. When we brought it to the staff’s attention, they casually shrugged it off with, “We don’t know how it got there,” and even attempted to take the plastic away, presumably to get rid of the evidence.
They didn’t apologize, didn’t own the mistake, and had the audacity to still charge us for the dish containing the plastic.
To top it all off, the desserts were served incorrectly, and the final bill was missing several items. We actually had to point that out ourselves just to pay for what we ordered.
Overall, this was a deeply disappointing and unhygienic experience. I would not recommend this...
Read moreI recently dined at Appatha Samayal in Trichy’s Cantonment area and had a mixed experience. The restaurant offers a variety of South Indian dishs
The restaurant’s ambiance is welcoming, with a comfortable seating arrangement and pleasant decor. The staff were courteous and attentive, ensuring that our dining needs were met promptly. The service was efficient, and the food arrived in a timely manner.
We ordered a variety of dishes to get a comprehensive taste of their menu. The South Indian meals were flavorful and well-prepared, reflecting authentic regional tastes. The spices were balanced, and the ingredients tasted fresh. However, the chicken biryani was underwhelming. The rice lacked the aromatic richness typically associated with biryani, and the chicken pieces were not as tender as expected. This dish did not meet the standard set by the other items we tried.
The pricing is reasonable for the portion sizes and the quality of most dishes. However, considering the lackluster biryani, it might be worth exploring other options on the menu that showcase the kitchen’s strengths.
Appatha Samayal provides a pleasant dining environment with commendable service. While their South Indian meals are delightful, there is room for improvement in their biryani...
Read moreA Memorable First Birthday Celebration
We recently celebrated our daughter's first birthday at this restaurant, hosting a party for 80 guests, including family, friends, and colleagues. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional.
We initially wanted to keep things simple, focusing more on a get-together rather than a full-blown party. However, the restaurant went above and beyond by arranging a foam board with birthday wishes and a simple yet beautiful decoration setup, which added a lovely touch to the event.
A special thanks to Ms. Archana, the coordinator, who provided excellent dinner menu suggestions that perfectly fit our budget. Unlike other venues we approached, which offered pricey combos with no room for customization and hefty charges for the hall, this restaurant was flexible and accommodating.
The food was nothing short of amazing. The green chili chicken and mutton biryani were particular favorites among our guests. Serving the food on plantain leaves was a wonderful touch, adding to the overall experience.
The staff managed the entire crowd efficiently, ensuring everything ran smoothly. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate such a special occasion. Highly...
