I recently had the pleasure of visiting "Kukku da Dhaba," and I must say, it was an experience that delighted my senses! The moment I stepped in, the vibrant ambience transported me to a traditional Dhaba somewhere in Punjab. The rustic decor, complete with witty one-liners on the walls, added a touch of humor that perfectly suited the aura.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the food! The menu at "Kukku da Dhaba" offered a tantalizing array of Punjabi delicacies, and every dish I tried was bursting with authentic flavors. From the rich butter chicken to the perfectly cooked tandoori rotis, each bite was a delightful explosion of taste. The chefs here undoubtedly know their way around Punjabi cuisine, and I left with a satisfied and contented belly.
While the food was undoubtedly the highlight, I must admit that the service was a bit slow. It's evident that the restaurant attracts a lot of customers, and the staff might have been a tad overwhelmed during peak hours. Nevertheless, the friendly nature of the waiters made up for the delay, and they ensured that we had everything we needed.
On the downside, the presentation of the dishes was just average. While the flavors more than compensated for this, a little more attention to plating could elevate the dining experience further.
Price-wise, "Kukku da Dhaba" offers excellent value for money. The portion sizes were generous, and considering the taste and ambiance, the bill felt justified.
Overall, I highly recommend paying a visit to "Kukku da Dhaba" if you're a fan of authentic Punjabi cuisine and crave a taste of the Dhaba culture. The mouthwatering dishes and lively atmosphere make it an ideal spot for family gatherings, casual outings with friends, or even solo dining for a nostalgic culinary journey. While the service could use a bit of improvement, the overall experience left me with a smile on my face and a promise to return soon for another...
ย ย ย Read moreIt is really sad that money superpower health in food industry. I had meal at "Kuku da Dhaba"Lucknow They served spring rolls at the table and i found it stale. When i called waiter and asked him to issue bill of whatever i had, and canceled my further order. But, he denied that food he served is not stale. I call the manager and told him about the same stale food and told him to give me bill and cancel my further order but he said he will not cancel the order and further added that i've to pay for the food that was still to be served. Which i found forceful, as i was already paying for the food i had, even if it was stale and i didn't have it. Then the manager called the owner and as expected she instead of accepting her staff's fault , blamed that its because i was not willing to pay. The point is when i am paying for the stale food why would i do that? I was not willing to have anything else beacuse it was concerned with my health.
But i guess for them money matters most and instead of apologising for poor service they denied. I paid for the food i ordered and also for food i requested to cancel only for my health sake.
I felt really bad and it made me sad i haven't experienced such kind of attitude because being in food industry customer's satisfaction is the utmost priority but the attitude of the manager and the owner the way they behaved was really inhumane. This is not the way you deal with the customer playing with...

When It was asked to the manager, then he mentioned that he will cancel the one plate of starter. But later owner came and said that customer has to talk to owner about all this, managers are not for this. And the extra plate of stater was imposed that u have to eat it or take it. After the payment when I asked a simple question to the owner that "hoe can a customer accept the starter after the main course is done", instead of accepting the mistake, she started shouting and then a scene got created. She didn't even apologize and turned the other way and said "chalo yaha se" and she left. Food was served and plates were laid after 10 mins to that. Cutlery was provided after frequent requests and waiter, manager didn't bother that food was served without cutlery. One of us finally went to the counter, picked up the cutlery and gave it to everyone.
