Been here twice but wouldn't recommend unless you're a GORA! Can't complain about the food but the service and atmosphere is apalling to say the least. The walls are adorned with snapshots of various sides of Varanasi, none of which even remotely depicts what the city is today. You'd feel like you've walked into a pre-independence era cafe where Indians are just brown sepoys, lol. The staff has been instructed to behave accordingly as well; no matter how hot it is outside, the AC won't be turned on for you and your kid. But the moment they see a white couple passingby they'd almost pull them in from the street. They also tend to think that Indians can't eat pancakes for a change (not even the fluffy ones just the skillet fried nutella drenched...

Our favorite dinning and hangout spot while in Banaras, the owner is an amazing photographer who is very interested in your experiences and he has kept that in mind while designing the ambience of the cafe. It is perfect blend of Banaras cafe with photographer exhibition on its 3 walls that showcase the life and culture of the Holy city.
