During my recent visit to Barista in Dehradun, I found myself immersed in the serene and captivating ambiance of this delightful cafe. The establishment not only boasts a fantastic atmosphere but also houses a charming bookstore within its premises, adding an extra layer of allure for book enthusiasts like myself.
While the absence of outdoor seating might deter some, the cozy and inviting interior more than compensates for it. The carefully curated decor and warm lighting create an atmosphere that encourages relaxation and engagement. It's a perfect haven for those seeking a quiet escape to enjoy a cup of coffee and immerse themselves in a good book.
What truly stood out, however, was the exceptional service provided by Vijay, the manager. His polite and welcoming demeanor added a personal touch to the overall experience. His attentiveness to customer satisfaction was evident, making my time at Barista even more enjoyable.

I, for one, was thoroughly pleased with my experience, and if this review resonates with you, I invite you to consider liking and following for more recommendations. Read moreBarista is that one place where I love to hang out with my friends and spend hours chit-chatting with them. The ambience is warm and welcoming. But what I am not content with is its choices of eats available for order. Many a times, what the menu offers is unavailable. So in that respect, as far as their food is concerned, I wish they could maintain the kind of great experience that I recently had here. I love their Cappuccino and Spinach Corn Sandwich. In short, I love Barista because it feels like home but yes, the non-availability of food items from their menu can be...
Read moreIn the days of yore when Dehradun was a quaint old town, we had the English Book Depot (EBD) that was a landmark for the town. The book store gave way to the changing times and in came the franchise business given to Barista and years later Barista Lavazza. The bookstore has been relegated to the rear end of the coffee shop. The coffee shop is in dire need for a paint job and change in upholstery. The coffee is becoming expensive with quality taking a dip. More variety in sandwiches are required. Excellent location but poorly kept. There was a time when I saw the likes of Tom Alter and the literary community give it a feel of the old coffee shops of Calcutta, alas no more! I will choose books over a...
