A Love Letter (and Maybe a Cry for Help) to Ganga Jamuna

It’s a little embarrassing to admit, but for our entire time in Rishikesh, we practically moved in here. Four to five times a week? More like a committed relationship. We tried to see other restaurants—we really did. But every time, we’d just end up missing The One.

The food? Unreal. The mushroom tikka, the vegetable tikka, the chole bhatura… every bite felt like a spiritual experience (which, let’s be honest, is exactly what you come to Rishikesh for). And the owners? Genuinely some of the kindest people we’ve met. How this place doesn’t have a higher rating is one of life’s great unsolved mysteries.

The only downside? We didn’t explore many other restaurants because, well… we were too busy coming back here. Honestly, we might have an addiction. Someone send help—or just another...

Satisfactory experience!!!

We did not check the reviews on Google before entering this restaurant as we were damn hungry so as soon as we reached Laxman Jhulla, Ganga Jamuna was right in front of us hence we entered without giving a second thought.

Talking about the food it was average not too great not too bad okay to fill your stomach. We had ordered Veg Thali and French Fries. French fries are highly highly highly recommended as they were quite hot, fresh, crisp and salted. It was so yum that we finished it in minutes. It was served with sauce and momos chutney.

On the other hand Veg Thali Quantity wise was sufficient it justified the price however taste was not that great but yes if you are out on a trip and does not have much idea about the food then you can definitely opt for it.

Don't know why it's rated so low, atleast deserves 4.2*. Good budget-friendly option, Visited this place during weekend, went there twice for dinner because of the taste and quality of food they served. The nature of didi and aunty who were serving food was also good. Just on weekends, they have a lot of customers and they are constantly working, so some might feel aunty's behaviour rude but trust me she is a good person. Will surely visit again in future.
