Mastana Musafir Cafe — Restaurant in Uttarakhand

I just visited the "cafe" to get some food. But I saw something else too Let me brief the food first. I ordered fried rice and chili paneer gravy. The fried rice is dripping in oil and the paneer in paneer chili gravy is FAKE PANEER. it smells spoiled too.

Okay so, storytime. Some guys who had given an advanced for their room booking came after having dinner at a nearby cafe and the guy at the desk ACCUSED then that they had gone out to look for another place and now their room is GONE.

These guys had given an advanced of 500/-. The mastana guys didn't even call them to tell them that someone else was interested and that they should finalise. These guys didn't pay back the advanced and didn't even give them a room. And continued to abuse them. After they left, the mastana guys talked about how they're locals and they're capable of attacking the outsiders and that they can do whatever they want.

The Cafe does justice to its name. Mastana means a person who is having fun. Musafir is a a traveller. So a traveller who knows how to have fun and enjoy his own company is the vibe of this place. The ambience is quite comfy and homely. The Cafe have a open view of the pious Ganges and the popular lakshman jhula. We went there through recommendation from our friend, who is a regular. We were there for some food in the evening, but ended up spending hours while spending quality time with each other. The staff is very kind and easy going. You'll feel warm and comfortable even if travelling solo. The taste of the food and drinks is also quite appetizing and the prices aren't that high. The ambience is quiet so its a good place...

We were there on the occasion of holi, in the evening. We liked the ambience of the place to dine, The setup of tables was unique and portable, will be getting the same for my home soon, We had Veg noodles and manchurian, the food was tasty, and above expectation as I had tried others in previous visits. The Guy, who was taking order took the order and was thorough as i wasn't expecting him to be, because of the rush due to holi, and number of customer. Ambience, view, lightning, behavior towards customers(rush hours), sitting arrangement format were plus points. The only negative thing i found was that I later get to knew that they had one more sitting arrangments at terrace. I will definitely be visiting next tym to try...
