Kitchen 27 — Restaurant in West Bengal

The place is no longer what it used to be a few months back! The quality has detoriated drastically not just for food but for the service as well... -Ambience : The crowd is generally very loud and due to no partitions around the tables, it gets really annoying and distracting with no privacy if you want to spend some peaceful time with your family...

-Service : We had to wait for more than 1 hour for our starters and even then, they served only half of the dishes that we ordered as starters while casulally throwing in a main course item in between!...and if that wasn't enough to spoil our mood, they even messed up our orders horribly...instead of Paneer Tikka Masala, they served Paneer Butter Masala despite clear instructions at the time of placing the order that we don't want Paneer Butter Masala as it's slightly on the sweeter side and we wanted to have something spicy, so we ordered Paneer Tikka Masala...but to our suprise, they made the exact same mistake which we were hoping them not to. They didn't charge us for the Butter masala but the Tikka Masala which was served after another 30min of waiting tasted pathetic!...Absolutely disgusting!

Food - The food was okay, as per taste but, there are very low hygiene standards maintained here! I ordered a spring roll dosa and found a white hair strand in it! and adding to this, the carrot shards used for dressing were dirty and were not washed properly (Images attached)

-Overall : I am not going back to this place with my family...not worth the distress caused and time wasted just for substandard food...

Today i ordered two masala kulchas and their special handi curry. For the record i am a pure vegetarian (without onion and garlic) . I was not even able to eat through half of the food ordered. I ended up throwing food from my mouth bcoz i felt very uncomfortable at eating that. The taste of food was below average. If people are liking the veg dishes served over here then i can only say they need to improve their taste. It's not good veg served over here.

Moreover they are not pure veg restaurant in the terms if anyone also believes in touchability of their food with onion and garlic then it's obviously not veg. I hope u understand for whom i have said. They serve and prepare food on the basis if u ask them not to put onion and garlic in ur food. So i hope now u can understand.

Rest ambience of the restaurant is great. That's a 3 star for me. But food quality is really very much below average and i am not even considering price to taste ratio. So u can...

This is first Pure Veg(onion and garlic are there) premium restaurant in Serampore, and they are doing really well at the moment. Actually i went to this place in dec 2018 and that time restuarant was not fully ready to serve their full menu also some decoration work going on. Today we went again and ordered alur dom and veg jhal frezi both of them taste good, although i liked the spicy alu dom more than jhal frezi because frezi was very tangy in taste and i can't tolerate excessive tanginess. But my complaint for them is they serve really small portion and that's why I mentioned it as a premium restaurant. You can visit this place any time whenever you would like to have some veg dish but do keep on mind thier serving portion is not normal or reasonable they serve lil short to your liking.
