Review: A Surprising Gem in Coimbatore with Just a Few Tweaks to Perfect
I honestly didn’t expect to find a place like this in Coimbatore—what a pleasant surprise. The ambience is stunning and gives off strong European bistro vibes, which makes for a truly memorable dining experience. Service was warm and attentive throughout, and the food, for the most part, was excellent.
The burrata was a clear highlight—creamy, fresh, and beautifully balanced. If there’s one suggestion, it would be to allow diners to cut into the burrata themselves rather than having it pre-cut in the kitchen. Part of the joy of a dish like that is the moment you break into it, letting the textures come together on your own terms.
The mocktails were refreshingly well-crafted, and the desserts looked just as good as they tasted—visually appealing and satisfying.
If I had one point of critique, it would be the menu’s direction. The space and overall aesthetic suggest a refined European or French bistro, so seeing something like Korean chicken wing on the menu felt a bit out of place. It’s a great dish on its own, but it didn’t quite align with the rest of the atmosphere or the culinary theme the restaurant seems to be aiming for. A more curated, focused menu would elevate the experience even more.
Lastly, I’m not sure if it was the manager or the owner who came by our table, but she was absolutely fantastic—gracious, confident, and clearly passionate about the space. It’s always a good sign when leadership is engaged on the floor.
Overall, this is an incredible spot, and I’ll absolutely be back soon. With just a little tightening of the concept, it could easily become one of the best in the region.
Rating: 4.5/5 – Beautiful ambience, excellent service, standout dishes like the burrata, with just a bit of...

Recently visited Bizou Cafe and Grill in Sai Baba Colony, and unfortunately, it didn't live up to the influencer hype. Everything seemed over hype with lots of vacant seats The ambiance was average and lacked cleanliness. We spotted a huge insect near our table, which raised concerns about the restaurant's hygiene standards.there were lots of stains in the floors that wasn’t cleaned and looked disgusting. Everything felt fake with all the paid reviews.
The service was also subpar. We ordered a starter, main course, and dessert, but the waiters bizarrely started our meal with the dessert. The food itself was unimpressive and lacked authenticity. The pizza was basic, and the dessert was overpriced and served in a very small portion.
To make matters worse, the restaurant tried to force us to pay a service charge, despite our explicit refusal. This is unacceptable, especially since Indian law clearly states that service charges cannot be mandatory. At first the manager says we can’t remove because once bill printed can’t be reprinted and we still refused. And later he puts 5% off on the bill on the new bill. Wow magic he printed a new bill.
Overall, I would not recommend Bizou Cafe and Grill for its food or ambiance. Don't fall for the influencer hype – this place is not worth your...
Read moreOne of the best restaurants I have visited in Coimbatore. Food is just excellent and spiced up just enough that our Indian taste buds won't feel bland without actually changing the authenticity of Italian cuisine. Yes price is on the higher side but justifiable considering the location and interiors and food quality. Also the portion size is larger too. Only breakfast dishes, sandwiches, pastas, pizzas and desserts were available at the time we went at 4 PM. If you want to try everything, visit after 6 PM. We actually went with a new born baby, the place and seating was comfortable enough for me to feed the baby and also enjoy the food myself. They cake a cake shop kinda thing in the entrance and their cakes ate just pure bliss. Only negative i would say is they can clean the front of their restaurant better where cars are parked. We parked the car in front of the restaurant where it was littered, had mosquitoes and smelly. Yes it's part of the part and technically the restaurant's responsibility but still cleaning it up would be good for the customers. Will definitely visit this...
