CHAYA MAAYA — Restaurant in Zone 13 Adyar

One of the worst experiences. Well chai is where universally all Indians connect and that’s how myself and a punch of friends we picked this spot. We have been here 2 times and this is the 3rd time. We ordered and we were resting our hands on this steel dining table that they had. And it was wobbling. There was a lady who came and said pls don’t rest too much to all of us and we took the concern and we did not rest. What happened next was after few mins I by no intention partially and very lightly supported my elbow. And another waitress came and shouted at us saying not to do that and stated that you guys are sleeping over it. You’ll should know that you shouldn’t be doing it. It was so rude and on top of that when I stated why can you’ll change it and I said we pay for this as well. She became more rude and said you’ll only pay for the tea. And she keep on arguing and that made us very uncomfortable and rude.So guys concluding this. This shop is a shop where they have least customer delicacy if you’ll wanna have a nice sip of tea. I would not recommend you’ll this place. I hope Chaya maaya franchise will take this concern and do what needs to be done. I hope at-least the management knows...

I went to this chaya Maya and asked the staff for a special chaya to take away. I asked her to add ginger also. She said ok. She gave me the tea and one cup. I asked her one more cup, but she refused. I was shocked to hear such a rude answer from your staff. I said I can pay extra money and requested multiple time, but still she said no. This is ridiculous that I purchased tea for two people, do you want me to share one cup.Then I decided to start writing review, she immediately provided me another cup. What happened now. Another bad experience is that She didn't provide a carry bag, I had to walk around 100 mtrs with this hot cup tea. This is so bad. I wouldn't be comfortable to visit again this place. I'm confident that the franchise owner has invested a considerable amount of time and money in his business. Though the outlet is great, the employees/staff he has hired are completely unprofessional, rude and irresponsible. We were made to wait for 15 minutes for a black coffee even though we were the only customers are the shop. Be that as if may, the employees were busy gossiping about Vijay starting his political party instead of doing their work and serving their customers. I hope this review reaches the owner of the franchise as he has a built a great business and hired employees to completely...
