Hi,

Still no reversal of payment made at your branch.

Appreciate your swift response.

Account No XXXXXXXXXX debited with INR 505.00 towards TO POS:RR NO:400316149733:63060540-ERODE SHREE AMMAN MESS CH on 03-JAN-2024.

This was the SMS which I showed up at your Velachery branch to the service person and cashier selvaraj.

But the way service person and cashier handled was awful.

All these days check your CCTV for my repeated visits to your outlet for the food mainly your taste but today it’s all diminished and wiped away by the service.

Kindly do educate the staff to handle such situations and I strongly recommend to educate the staff who handled my table not other staffs bcoz they were cordial in liaising with customers.

Note :

My table was No: 14 Date : 3/1/24 Bill no - 416 Order ID - 100010 Type - Dine In Captain No: 1 Bill amount : 505/- Branch : Velachery

I don’t deny the food taste it’s good but the way the customer handling in Velachery while closing the bill was pathetic. It was my repeated visits to this particular outlet but today all gone for a toss by the service by the person who attended my table and the cashier. Highly disappointed. Twice amount was debited but while swiping the card. First time when it was debited I showed the debited message and debited statement from mobile bank app. In addition to that he said no give your card and swiped again as if he is smart. Bill amount of 505 debited twice but he told today you will get reversal or else we will refund. I don’t understand what’s is the system they follow??? And why they use these type of swiping services from their bank which they operate??? The reason why I would bring this to limelight is the way the service person showed is gestures was awful and provoking but kept calm and cool and paid again and came off from the outlet. All these days I kept suggesting my fellow mates to try this authentic food now I should stop doing that bcoz to have this authentic food we need to bare these type of service...

First thing first most of the reviews are not legitimate. So please don't dependent on it. This is my first experience in this restaurant and that is not good in terms of money we are spending. As I said in my first line there is big hype created by the media stars, you tubers etc. as this owned by an actor so there is no surprise in it. But it is not worth for the money we are spending. It is a very small restaurant and it's the reason for more waiting time. When I visited on 14th Jan, I barely waited 15 mins as its less crowd. Atmosphere is good, but again in terms of money we are spending it's not matching. I ordered Guntur Chicken, Nethali Fry, Mutton Birayani and cool drinks. Guntur chicken is horrible it's not even hot when serving and I expected some spice in it, but there too I disappointed. Before ordering I asked the guy how it was and confirmed it would be spicy. Nethali fry is good, its hot crispy. Mutton Birayani its horrible again, less salt and taste not good, I would never use gravy when eating birayani, but here its eatable only with gravy. Too much Ghee. We felt greasy thing while eating birayani and my hand is full of GREASE. This we never expected/experienced in any restaurant. I don't know what the hell they are using, I do not suggest Mutton birayani for senior citizens, heart patients etc.

Conclusion: I would recommend avoiding this restaurant. As the money we are spending it's not worth and I use to frequently goes to OMR Thalapakatti, ZAITOON, PALM SHORE are very good in ambience, food etc. ZAITOON and palmshore serves many varieties than anywhere and taste also very good I think the price is also almost matching with the Amman mess.

THEY ARE PLAYING US WITH STAR AND PAID REVIEWS. SO DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, IF YOU WANT TO TRY GO ALONE INSTED OF...

If you are planning to go on a Sunday better giveup that plan as you have to wait minimum 30 mins before entering into the hotel. We ordered a cup meals for my kid, parotta and pepper chicken gravy for my wife where the pepper chicken gravy was nothing pepper'y. It was just a gravy with chilli flavour. First impression - disaster. Then I found some mutton kulambu in meals for self which I ordered and they gave only the kulambu and not with rice. When I asked why rice is not included, the gave a reason which made me spellbound - "this is the gravy which you can use with rice sir". Yappa - then you have to include it under GRAVY section and not MEALS SECTION and gave this feedback there itself. While finishing the meals, the waiter brought in 4 people to sit in the place where I was eating and those 4 ppl were literally staring at me. I just closed the banana leaf and left in a hurry carrying all the things in hand to wash my hands. AM I EATING IN A MARRIAGE HALL WHERE PPL WILL STAND IDIOTICALLY BEHIND OTHERS TO GRAB THEIR CHAIR?? Am I not paying? Gave this feedback to the supervisor lady as well where that amma said : ellarum wait panranga sir.

If others are waiting, am I supposed to eat fast or eat incomplete food? Yaar pa neenga ellam???

And this is just a hotel and not a mess as the name reads. Just an over hyped hotel where the taste is average and the...

Erode Amman Mess provided an unforgettable South Indian dining experience. The biryani was a true masterpiece. It arrived at our table in a fragrant cloud of spices, and each forkful was a symphony of flavors. The long-grain rice had the perfect texture, fluffy yet firm, allowing it to soak up the rich spices and the essence of saffron. The tender pieces of meat, whether chicken or mutton, were succulent and generously coated with the aromatic spices that made every bite a taste sensation. Now, let's talk about the marvellous chicken chukka. The chicken was expertly prepared, cooked to perfection so that it remained juicy and flavorful. The chukka sauce was a blend of spices that danced on the taste buds, combining elements of heat, sweetness, and a subtle tanginess that kept us reaching for more. It was evident that the chef had mastered the art of balancing flavors to create a truly exceptional dish. As for the wait for seats, it's worth noting that Erode Amman Mess's popularity is well-deserved, and during peak hours, there may be a brief wait for a table. However, the overall dining experience was so exquisite that the wait seemed inconsequential. So, if you're looking for an authentic South Indian culinary adventure and don't mind a short wait, Erode Amman Mess is the place to be.

I am writing this review after visiting this place for the second time. First time was a sunday afternoon and second was Wednesday evening. Both the times it was extremely crowded and had to wait for an average of half an hour. Now let's talk about the ambience, oh wait there is no such thing as ambience. It's a well maintained crowded place. If you are going as a huge family of say five or six, you won't have that space or joy, due to the extreme crowd. Food wise, I liked their chicken biryani, both times it was good. Kathari prawns, I thought would be spicy, but weren't. Karuvepellai prawns are a waste of money. It was too salty and I could see a lot of karuvepallai added and fried along with prawns. Did the prawns have karuvepellai taste, then definitely not. Chicken kothu parotta was average. Vanjaram fry was good, now how can someone go wrong in that right. Their elaneer pudding is good. But gets sold off fast. They have plastic bottled goli soda Not the authentic one. Taste wise this one doesn't taste great like the authentic one. Price wise, it's too pricey. For the quantity they give, it's extremely pricey. I feel it's not worth it. Now others can say taste is good. Well taste is average and not worth the price they give. Won't visit this place anymore.

Erode Amman Restaurant – My experience We’ve visited Amman Restaurant multiple times, and every visit has been memorable. Be prepared, though — weekends are extremely crowded, with a minimum waiting time of 45 minutes. A smart tip: give your name at the counter, take a walk or roam around for about 30 minutes, and by the time you’re back, your table will likely be ready. Food-wise, it’s absolutely worth the wait. • The Mutton Biryani and Mutton Liver Fry are both outstanding — full of flavor and cooked to perfection with authentic spices. • I highly recommend trying the Parotta with Country Chicken Gravy – a fantastic combo that’s both hearty and satisfying. • Another must-try is the Cup Rice with Mutton Thanni Kulambu – a soulful, traditional pairing. • Don’t miss the Rasam after finishing your main course – it’s light, tangy, and comforting. • Finally, wrap up your meal with curd rice – it’s the perfect end to a flavorful feast. In short, Amman Restaurant delivers an authentic, traditional South Indian non-veg experience that keeps you coming back for more. Just plan for the crowd, and you’ll be rewarded with a truly satisfying meal.
