I had a disappointing experience at A2B restaurant during dinner with my family last night.
The service was far below expectations. The staff member who attended our table showed no willingness to take our order. His tone and body language were hesitant, as if serving us was a burden rather than his responsibility to welcome and serve customers properly. Despite us settling at the table, he approached us only after 15 minutes, wandering around other tables. When we called him, he responded with a reluctant nod rather than attentiveness.
We ordered dosa, chapati, parotta, idly, and coffee. The service was extremely delayed. The dishes were brought one after the other with long gaps in between. Dosa was served lukewarm as it sat for a while after being prepared. Parotta took even longer to arrive, served only after we reminded the staff, and by then, we had finished all other dishes. When finally served, the parotta was partially uncooked and over-burnt in parts. To make things worse, white chutney was never served despite being a standard accompaniment.
This is not the service standard expected from a restaurant chain with such brand value. The experience felt no better than a small roadside eatery. It seems like the restaurant's standards are slipping, perhaps because of steady customer flow, leading to complacency.
Additionally, the experience at the handwash sink was equally frustrating. While waiting to wash my hands, a person finished washing and carelessly shook his hands, causing water splash around and affect others nearby, including me. This lack of basic consideration shows how important it is to create awareness about being mindful of others in public spaces.
I sincerely hope A2B re-evaluates its service standards and ensures its staff is trained to uphold the brand’s reputation. Customers...

I had a very disappointing experience at the A2B Velachery branch recently. As a regular customer who enjoys A2B food across various outlets, I was shocked by the lack of consistency and the unprofessional behavior I faced here.
I ordered a Sambar Vadai and a coffee. In almost every A2B outlet, Sambar Vadai is served using the larger-sized vada (the same one that's sold separately for around ₹42). However, here I was served a much smaller vada, the kind usually included in the mini tiffin combo — yet I was charged ₹55 for it!
When I raised the concern with the server, he initially said he would get it changed, but then nothing happened. It felt like they were trying to pass off a smaller portion at a higher price — which honestly felt like cheating.
I then approached the manager, Mr. Subash, to get some clarity. Shockingly, he was completely indifferent and unwilling to listen. His response was, “This is the size we serve here,” and that was it. No explanation, no accountability, and no intention to address my concern. His rude and careless attitude made the whole experience even worse.
This outlet clearly doesn’t match the standards of other A2B branches in terms of food quality, portion size, or customer service. It's unacceptable that customers are charged more and given less — and to top it off, treated poorly when raising a valid concern.
A2B, please look into this issue seriously — both the inconsistency in food and the behavior of your staff. I’ve attached photos and also sent a formal complaint to your customer support.
Highly disappointed. Would NOT recommend visiting this outlet unless these issues...
