Have visited Kailash Parbat in Chetput and Adyar. Experience in both places was good. This is not a chat shop as I originally thought it to be, and has much more to offer, in terms of multiple cuisines. You need to explore the length and breadth of their menu to believe this. May take two or three visits. Offers good ambience and professional service. Probably, the right place for those who miss Mumbai cuisine and culture
This review is more about my recent visit to the Adyar outlet. Capt. Raj took care of the service, and he was able to walk us through the menu to pick what we were looking for, and explained few unfamiliar sounding dishes. All items we ordered were good. Basically, if you can figure out what to order, the failure rate, in terms of taste or quality, would be close to zero.
This hotel certainly comes into the category of fine dining, and has a certain degree of professionalism, good food and service, which is a rare thing, even in well-established restaurant chains. This accounts for the little extra that you pay for. Overall it’s value for money
Never faced problem with car parking, despite the limited space. You may face difficulty, during peak hour rush or holidays. Don’t think they have valet parking, though a security is available to assist.
Tip (for visitors): Try to pick a relatively lean time, to try out this place. Check with the particular outlet, to see how they are placed, regarding rush, parking, seasonal specialties, food festival if any, etc. In case you're planning to go as a big group, it helps to prep them up through prior intimation. Order their signature dishes, if you wish...

I’ve been to the one at Chetpet several times before and it was really good (back then)! Now that the one in Chetpet is closed, decided to give this one a shot.
Cream of Tomato Soup: It was sweet :) The soup itself was pretty good, but had to add an adequate amount of pepper to make it taste tad spicy.
Pani Poori: Tasty, but the aloo in poori was very less. Really wish they added more aloo.
Anarkali Paneer Tikka: Tasted good. Nothing great to call out, but nothing to complain either.
Aloo Paratha, Garlic Naan, Masala Kulcha, Mint Paratha, Mix Veg Paratha: All these items were decent. I can confidently say that Aloo Paratha has lost its previous charm :)
Kailash Special Briyani: Tasted out of the world! Very unique Briyani. Loved it!
Kofta-E-Dilbar: This was a chef recommended item, but it didn’t taste that good. Had a unique taste to it, but nothing to call out. Could have been better
Gobi Manchurian Gravy: It was good. Could have been a little spicy.
Malai Rabdi, Malai Kulfi, Chocolate Ice Cream, Falooda: All desserts tasted food.

Read moreWords just cannot explain how good things went well on my son's 1st birthday party! A 1st birthday party can never be replaced with any birthday and we made a right decision by celebrating it in Kailash Prabhat Adyar branch. Right from people, food and ambience, everything was perfect! Special mention to Mr. Praveen Shetty and Mr. Pavithran and their team who were patient enough to listen to all our requests and their willingness to accommodate our request was really great! We received positive feedback from all our guests about the people, food and ambience. Food was fresh, people and ambience was very inviting. I would strongly recommend this place if you are looking for an elegant celebration! As far as the buffet was concerned, they believe in what we say! They did not look for the headcount based on plates used which was surprising to us where most of the restaurants said that they were looking only for plate counts. I feel bad that we were in a hurry when we were at the dinner table after the birthday party. I'm definitely waiting to have a relaxed meal in...
