I recently visited the A2B outlet located within Chennai Central Railway Station, and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing, especially considering the brand’s usual reputation for quality and service.
One of the major concerns was hygiene. The staff handling and serving food were not wearing gloves, which is unacceptable in any food service setting, particularly in a high-traffic transit hub like a railway station. Proper hygiene protocols appear to be lacking, which raises concerns about food safety.
Additionally, there was a serious issue with order accuracy and integrity. I had ordered two masala vadais, but upon opening the parcel, I found only one inside. When I pointed this out, the staff member insisted that he had packed two—an unacceptable response that came across as dishonest. This type of behavior erodes trust and can easily catch travelers off guard, especially when they’re in a hurry to catch a train.
Important tip for travelers: Always open and check your parcel before leaving the counter. Do not assume that your order has been packed correctly. Mistakes or deliberate discrepancies seem to be a possibility here.
In summary, while A2B is a well-known brand, this particular outlet at Chennai Central fails to live up to expected standards in both hygiene and customer service. A serious review of their staff training and quality control is needed to restore...
Read moreI bought sweets and mixture from A2B in Central and took the pack without checking it believing in the A2B staff here, but the 2 mixture packs were missing when I checked the pack after reaching my native place which is 1000kms away. From the beginning of A2B, I am a fan of their sweets and every time I buy and take it to my native place. In recent years despite the staffs had become more lethargic and rude, I never complained since I always think about A2B quality and taste, but this time I wanted to report this. The staffs are very lethargic and rude and I saw an elderly man begging to take his order. I want the A2B Owner to take a look at their staffs behavior and take corrective measures. A2B had grown so big that a review from a poor customer like me is not going to affect your business, but I think as a good citizen of this country it is my duty to report this. Thank you A2B for all your quality products but I request every customer to check your pack before leaving A2B especially at central railway station in Chennai. I am attaching my bill...
Read moreBeing such a big brand, it should also train the workers to be polite with the customers. The people who are serving and the person at the counter were very rude to us. Even though I’m from Andhrapradesh, I tried speaking them in Tamil because that’s Chennai, but they are not ready to speak in Tamil or English. They are only communicating in Hindi. Hindi is not at all a problem here, we were at the railway station around 4pm, I have checked if the rice is available and wanted to confirm if that is hot or not, in reply the person who is serving used foul language in Hindi, he meant something like how I will serve you hot in your face!!! I was so shocked, though I don’t understand Hindi, I got what he spoke.. Even the counter person is so rude to people there. If this continues, the name and fame what A2B earned all these years will definitely go in vain. So I left the place without buying anything. I felt so uncomfortable. Lastly, I’m paying you for the food, you are not giving me for free. At least show some...
