FOOD
Pesto pasta :
The flavour of the pesto sauce was average, the blend of the sauce with the pasta was fairly in agreement with each other also the pasta was again seasoned in Oregano and Chilli Flakes over the top like a Garnish (why???) , also they serve the same at the table for us to season it with .(why again)
White sauce pasta -
Very bland , the pasta was again seasoned in Oregano and Chilli Flakes over the top . The pasta was boiled well but had no flavour in it as such . The sauce the seasoning and the pasta were three separate individuals made to sit in the same plate who did not agree with each other. The quantity can fill 2 people if ordered with garlic bread for light eaters . Personally I don't think I will go there again for pasta
Assorted Garlic bread
1.cheese , 2.beetroot mayo , 3.pestomayo. All topped with Oregano and chilli Flakes . The Beetroot was the best of them all.

AMBIANCE
It is situated at the ground floor of a apartment building at Kilpauk .
It's a renovated apartment on the inside converted into a Cafe .
Its double height space with multiple rooms .Each room coloured differently.
It has this Wood+metal Retro Vintage kind of theme going on form lights to the Cash counter and rest of the other dining furniture .
😐No windows - literally not even fixed glass anywhere , its Bacilly a fully air conditioned concrete box .
😑The worst part about the ambiance of the pace is no the no windows part !!!!! It is The double height space that looks cool ok , means no harm but (Really???) A concrete box with no openings with no acoustic treatment, no false ceiling ( that could aid acoustics), creating sooo much Eco that keeps revibrating in...

Read moreIf you thought that vegetarian pasta could hit home in a small restaurant tucked away in Kilpauk, it would be like nursing a delusion. First of all, pastas are meant to be cheesy and soaking in meat.
Now here's a restaurant manned by chefs who have no idea what they're making - as narrated by the founder Chirag, with whom we had a short conversation before we left.
The cooks follow instructions and do as they're told. This isn't food they would eat and doesn't form part of their daily meals
But the food that arrives on the table bursts with flavour and honesty. The pasta sings. The bits of chunky broccoli and corn 🌽 in the herbed pasta, which was dry are suitably matched. As well as the bell pepper pasta which was more cheesy and loaded with bell peppers, of course.
We started out with the assorted garlic bread which had pastes of beetroot, pesto and cheese. Luscious little morsels that leave you hungering for more.
Don't look for fancy ceramic plates or chefs presentation skills. The food is served on brown palm leaf plates, a decision they made in the beginning. The prices look a decade old as well. It's full of young people and families having a good time.
The portions are perfect for slightly older people but young appetites would crave more.
This is one of the most delightful food experiences we've had right in the beginning of the year. And we intend to be back for more at short intervals.
Fusilli Reasons - the play on words is just a facade. The silliest thing you could do is believe that Italian food needs atmosphere and continental chefs. Never underestimate the Indians who want to play in...
