FOOD Pesto pasta : The flavour of the pesto sauce was average, the blend of the sauce with the pasta was fairly in agreement with each other also the pasta was again seasoned in Oregano and Chilli Flakes over the top like a Garnish (why???) , also they serve the same at the table for us to season it with .(why again) White sauce pasta - Very bland , the pasta was again seasoned in Oregano and Chilli Flakes over the top . The pasta was boiled well but had no flavour in it as such . The sauce the seasoning and the pasta were three separate individuals made to sit in the same plate who did not agree with each other. The quantity can fill 2 people if ordered with garlic bread for light eaters . Personally I don't think I will go there again for pasta Assorted Garlic bread 1.cheese , 2.beetroot *mayo , 3.pesto*mayo. All topped with Oregano and chilli Flakes . The Beetroot was the best of them all. PARKING CAR : Provides No car parking . You need to find a spot across the street and park somewhere . BIKE : Provides bike parking LANDMARK : The place had nice name board that is identifiable for the road . It is right next to Maggiewala, On the Bains school road AMBIANCE It is situated at the ground floor of a apartment building at Kilpauk . It's a renovated apartment on the inside converted into a Cafe . Its double height space with multiple rooms .Each room coloured differently. It has this Wood+metal Retro Vintage kind of theme going on form lights to the Cash counter and rest of the other dining furniture . 😐No windows - literally not even fixed glass anywhere , its Bacilly a fully air conditioned concrete box . 😑The worst part about the ambiance of the pace is no the no windows part !!!!! It is The double height space that looks cool ok , means no harm but (Really???) A concrete box with no openings with no acoustic treatment, no false ceiling ( that could aid acoustics), creating sooo much Eco that keeps revibrating in the space ????

Food: Assorted Garlic bread (GB) – As always, their beetroot rocks the floor which the cheese trailing by in the winner’s list; the freshness of the bread is worth visiting every day Corn GB - The garlic bread was classy with the sauce swivelling all around the surface Beetroot GB - Kinda cold beetroot topping, unlike the corn this was just alright Cheese GB - Bread and cheese, a pair made in heaven. Best of the day. Can eat it all day long. . Chilli Cheese toast – Little did I know that a toast can be made enjoyable. The oozing cheese was all around the bread and the crispiness of the toast made it feel like a cheese biscuit Exotic Salsa Nachos – Not a fan of saucy nachos but this was different with olives, tomatoes and spicy salsa sauce all over cheesy nachos; tasted different, still not sure if I like it Mac n Cheese – Damn good macaroni with white sauce and cheese all around; gooey, fresh and had no spice; enjoyable predominantly because of the texture Aglio E Olio – Spaghetti tossed in olive oil, chillies with black olives; chilli flakes did add a kick to it; soft, slurpy and tummy-filling Basil pesto Pasta - Super Spicy, well cooked and kicky flavour. Parking wasn’t a big concern (visited during non-peak hours) with the service being swift and had minimal waiting time. A big thumbs-up to their disposable plates and cutlery. The ambience was soothing with vibrant colours along with the décor. One of the best pocket-friendly places for delectable dishes. Ambience: Great service, decent parking and best spot for friends to hang out. Got my order in almost under 2 minutes since visited during the post-lunch period.

Crowded as we went by Sunday night and was made to wait for nearly half an hour to get a table.. It is kind of a vintage home which has been converted into a restaurant. Ambience 3.5/5. For Italian cuisine this is one the finest places in Chennai :) Taste 5/5. Reasonable price, budget hotel for quite a great Italian food :) No words can explain the taste of pasta that they serve. Its a must visit place for the people who love pasta. The sauce is really tasty. The nachos are worth tasting too. It is my favorite place. The pasta is worth money. One should definitely taste it there. Drawn inside because of its witty name, I was a little confused by the decor at Fusili reasons at first. Though a place specializing in Italian food, it looked traditionally south Indian. But the food didn't disappoint. Especially the pink (beet root flavored) garlic bread. The others were good as well. We tried some pasta and nachos as well. The lemon tea was great too. Selling only vegetarian food is the only downside for this place. I would certainly recommend this as a great budget eatery that I would love to go back to.

I had the pleasure of dining at Fusilli Reasons in Kilpauk with two friends. This cozy little spot is perfect for casual outings, serving delicious, value-for-money Italian-inspired dishes at unbelievably low prices. Our total bill was around ₹500-₹600, with a per-head cost of approximately ₹150-200, making it one of the best budget-friendly eateries in the city.

What We Ate & Cost Breakdown

Person 1: Two different pastas (₹90 + ₹90) = ₹180 Person 2: One pasta (₹90) + Garlic Bread with Cheese (₹70) = ₹160 Person 3: One pasta (₹90) + Cheese Nachos (₹90) = ₹180 Extra Soda (Shared): ₹120 Total: ₹640 for 3 people (~₹213 per person)

Top 3 Must-Try Dishes

Masala Mac Pasta – A desi take on mac & cheese with a spicy, flavorful punch.🥊 Assorted Garlic Bread – Soft, cheesy, and loaded with delicious toppings like beetroot mayo & corn. 🤌🏼 Mixed Pasta – A creamy and tangy combination of red & white sauces that blends perfectly.

Other Dishes Worth Exploring 🥹

Spinach Pasta – Creamy, healthy, and packed with flavor. Mac and Cheese Pasta – A comforting, cheesy delight. Pesto Pasta – Authentic basil pesto goodness. Chilli Cheese Nachos – Crispy nachos loaded with cheese and a spicy kick. Bell Pepper Sauce Pasta – A smoky, tangy pasta with roasted peppers. Vegetable Au Gratin – Baked veggies in a rich, cheesy white sauce.

With friendly service, quick turnaround, and a simple yet comforting ambiance, Fusilli Reasons is a must-visit for pasta lovers on a budget. Whether you're a student, a working professional, or just someone craving great food without burning a hole in your pocket, this spot is highly...

If you thought that vegetarian pasta could hit home in a small restaurant tucked away in Kilpauk, it would be like nursing a delusion. First of all, pastas are meant to be cheesy and soaking in meat.

Now here's a restaurant manned by chefs who have no idea what they're making - as narrated by the founder Chirag, with whom we had a short conversation before we left.

The cooks follow instructions and do as they're told. This isn't food they would eat and doesn't form part of their daily meals

But the food that arrives on the table bursts with flavour and honesty. The pasta sings. The bits of chunky broccoli and corn 🌽 in the herbed pasta, which was dry are suitably matched. As well as the bell pepper pasta which was more cheesy and loaded with bell peppers, of course.

We started out with the assorted garlic bread which had pastes of beetroot, pesto and cheese. Luscious little morsels that leave you hungering for more.

Don't look for fancy ceramic plates or chefs presentation skills. The food is served on brown palm leaf plates, a decision they made in the beginning. The prices look a decade old as well. It's full of young people and families having a good time.

The portions are perfect for slightly older people but young appetites would crave more.

This is one of the most delightful food experiences we've had right in the beginning of the year. And we intend to be back for more at short intervals.

Fusilli Reasons - the play on words is just a facade. The silliest thing you could do is believe that Italian food needs atmosphere and continental chefs. Never underestimate the Indians who want to play in...
