One of the best non-vegetarian hotel I have ever visited. The price is also reasonable. They have two type of restaurants AC and non-AC. I visited non-AC. Such a neat and good ambience they are maintaining it in a better way. Now coming to the food part not many restaurants provide a great South Indian non-vegetarian in the desi way, but this hotel does it. To start it with soup I had mutton clear soup, it was so smooth and a perfect drink for this chill climate. The spinach and cabbage was well cooked and the mutton pieces was well cooked and sliced in to small pieces.. Also I had Tangri kabab (chicken leg piece cooked in tandoori style with special masala) it has accompanied with tangy onions and mint chutney, this one is a complete winner as it was yummy and the price was just 85rs.. which can be affordable by many. Later we had mutton Biryani. It was well cooked with good flavours and tasted pretty good. Usually if u order a mutton Biryani in hotel u will get 2-3pices and a egg in it. But here they serve with 4pieces of mutton and a egg in it. Which is also a value for money. I ordered mutton pepper masala a gravy type mutton, the gravy took the mutton Biryani too next level .. to say in our own style it was vera level.. the mutton in the pepper masala was so yummy and juice... I also had mutton brain fry which was also well cooked with onions and tomatoes and good masala in it, which was unique and tasty.. later we had Aappam and ordered mutton paya 1/2 plate. The paya and Aappam combination was so good, the mutton trotters in paya was also well cooked and tasted good. U will get 2full set of mutton trotters in 1/2plate of paya. For final touch we had the spl tea which was strong and good to digest the heavy meal... They server two type of tea , dum tea and spl tea. If u go there in an raining evening pls try the spl tea and mutton samosas , which is a best ever combo u will get in an rainy evening. Pls do visit it if you travel via Kilpauk.. hat's off to...
Read moreDear Hotel Paramount, I wrote this review because today I bought dinner from your hotel and your billing system seems unfair.actually you have a different price list for dining and takeaway.Takeaway pricing is higher than your dining price, because of packing expenses for parcel which is acceptable, but also you are charging additional 5% extra as other packing charge from the bill amount when the time of billing,it seems like unfair and unacceptable ,also it seems like a scam , already we are paying you extra price as per your takeaway price list which is includes packing charges ,then why we must pay you extra money for other packing charges . it also affects your reputation in front of the customers.when I asked about this pricing issue to your staffs I'm getting irresponsible answers from your staffs also they blaming management for this issue.i have attached both the price lists and my bill copy for you and other customers reference. Hope this issue will be fixed soon. Apart from that your food taste is very average. Kindly improve that too. (Paramount spl pepper chicken masala taste and quantity is below average,Paratha quality is good).I attached your parcel food image here,in that image there is no packing material that seems to costs you 5% as per your additional packing charges. It's normal packing material which is provided by all the restaurants nowadays but none of the restaurants charging the way like you. If you claim that others are also charging like this then they are also a scammer in my understanding. Almost you're getting double the GST charges from the customers. My bill amount is Rs 575.00 and I have paid 2.5% and 2.5% as Cgst and Sgst, then the same 5% im paying you as extra packing charges which is mentioned in your bill. Which means you're taking Double...
Read moreHotel Paramount is one of the legendary places in chennai and it still remains so thanks to their consistency and good service.. A place i make a point to visit quite often..
Located on Ormes road this one has 2 floor seating with non A/C in ground floor and A/C hall on the first floor.. Parking is quite minimalistic.. On busy days you need to park in nearby streets..
The Ground floor has been renovated a bit whereas the first floor remains the same for years.. Quite average in Ambiance and environment..
The Service has been always up and down but seem to be getting steady now.. Some guys are too friendly and some are rude but everyone gets their work done promptly..
Ordered a few items on my last visit and given below is my take on them..
Chicken Biryani : quantity seemed good on first look but it mostly meat and that too sadly are bones.. Could have been better..But nevertheless the taste was spot on..
Chicken Fried Rice : This one was really good with loaded meat and a well made fried rice.. Quantity too seemed generous..
Schezwan Chicken Fried Rice : This was just an spicier version of the fried rice.. A typical indianized version of the fried rice.. The Spiciness was just due to addition of chilies..
Madras Kothu Parotta : One of their best items to try.. Really well made and quite spicy..
Good quantity and really good taste with apt prices.. Definitely a place worth trying...
